All in in all, very good, but the at table drinks service a little slow. It was a very nice sunny warm afternoon and we chose to sit outside, but the restaurant is on the front, however, far enough from the road for it to be an issue. We were jumped on quite quickly when we sat down and the drinks order came quite quickly, we were then upsold lunch, not a bad thing, the Pizzas were quite nice, but the bases were lacking in flavour which turns a good Pizza into a great Pizza. Looking around and smelling the food, it all looked to be similar quality, with the Lasagne smelling particularly good. We sat there for a while having drinks, whilst enjoying the sunshine, but getting a waiter was sometimes a little difficult, but when we got one they were helpful and polite. All in all very good, just needs a few more staff as it becomes busy.

Six of us went last evening to Rigatoni. We weren't quite sure what to expect but enjoyed it. We were given a corner table inside and whereas it is a little 'understated' and the lights a little bright, it worked well. Service without exception was excellent. We drank Gavi which was very tasty and ordered a range of food. Some people shared a selection of foccacia and garlic bread whilst I opted for the Vegan vegetables which was delicious and one I would repeat. Several in the group had pizza as a main and there was generally positive feedback. One member of the group went for the penne pasta whilst I and my wife opted for the salad with gorgonzola, chicory, walnuts, mine with the addition of San Danielle ham, it was delicious. I would happily return and in fact, probably choose the same meal again. We were all pleasantly surprised when the bill arrived and for a laid back Italian restaurant, it has a lot going for it.

The evening was perfect from the moment we arrived without a reservation. The host was courteous, welcoming and without hesitation offered us a drink whilst we waited for a table to become available. The menu was not extensive but adequately sufficient of options for both myself and my vegetarian partner. The food did not disappoint, at all! The starters of bruschetta and garlic tomato bread were substantial in size and exquisitely fresh. Our mains of Linguini aglio olio (one with king prawns) delighted every taste bud in the vicinity! Although the food was the showstopper the cocktails were also expertly prepared and served by yet another friendly member of the team! Coming from a hospitality background I am always impressed by customer service and Rigatoni was a perfect example of how to impress your diners! The wine list was suitably stocked with wines from Italy and other viticultural hotspots! Overall I can wholeheartedly recommend this little gem of a restaurant and the incredibly friendly efficient and professional staff! Bravo Rigatoni, we will be back!

Food was very good quality, however bad experience with the billing. I ordered a Bloody Mary with no vodka at brunch, then on receiving the bill saw that I had been charged the full £10 for a regular Bloody Mary. Queried this with the wait staff but was told that she could not help, so therefore paid £10 for what was effectively spicy tomato juice. This seemed absurd when my food bill only totalled £6.50. Please may you fix your menu to accommodate for those who would like non alcoholic cocktails, so that they are not erroneously charged the same price as an alcoholic drink. This was the only thing that soured the dining experience. Also your brunch runs from 9:30 but your brunch cocktails can’t be served until 11:00, it might be worth noting this on your menu. Thanks!

Menu was inviting ,the staff were nice enough but that was as good as it got .My tortellini was ok but my husbands “Tuscan bean soup “ was just soup blended to within an inch of its life no sign of a bean anywhere …all for the sum of £15+ and the focaccia well that was three slices of bread that should really have been called croutons ,never in all the Italian restaurants we have been to has the focaccia been served like this . No Parmesan or pepper was offered that was a first in an Italian restaurant for us but hey there is a first for everything . Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else to eat . “

Awful service from takeaway delivery driver. She called me because she couldn't find our house, i was 5 minutes on the phone with her explaining where the house was whilst she was blowing into the microphone, suggesting she was fed up of driving around to find our house, extremely rude. She told me to meet her outside multiple times "you need to come out i can't see your house", she had given up with delivering our food to our doorstep that we paid for. Once she found the house, by the window i told her where the door was, she had a very grumpy face on, she said to me "open the door i have got the car parked in the middle of the road" in a very rude tone, bearing in mind there is space opposite my house where she could have parked. She gave me the boxes and did not say a word, i said thank you because i have manners of course. The food was cold when we started eating, we ordered carbonara and garlic bread. Nothing special.

One star is for the location. My friend had had a lovely pizza at the Pizzeria Famosa (La Colomberie, St Helier) the previous evening and as the same one was on the menu he ordered it. He was disappointed although the cider he had was nice. I ordered a spaghetti bolognaise- with more beef it might have just passed as a starter - it came with the coke I ordered - I have to admit I didn't know coke came in such small bottles: the cost for me was about £20 for the meal and £3 for the coke. Need I write any more, I only wish I had taken photographs.🤨

We didn’t book a table as it is mainly a walk in. Being a Sunday evening most restaurants were closed, however came here as this one was open and close to the centre. We had Italian salumi as starters which tasted ok. We had rigatoni amatriciana pasta with chicken and chicken Gorgonzola penne pasta which we were both disappointed as it was abit too salty, lacked flavour/too bland for our taste palate. Food was abit underwhelming considering what we paid for it and would say overall it’s not worth the money. I also felt the service was abit slow. The waiter seemed disinterested in his job and didn’t even ask us how our food was. On positive note great location.

Given the service and standard of food is very high in Jersey , this fell very sadly short . Staff appeared uninterested , long wait for drinks , no greeting . Pasta was ok the rest of the food was dire 3 of us had focaccia’s which were dry and tasteless . The focaccia’s were toasted however the middle was freezing cold with no taste whatsoever . On complaining I was told quite condescendingly that they only toast the focaccia’s they don’t heat the filling . I asked the very uninterested waiter after trying to get his attention for a good 5-6 minutes if I could possibly get some sun dried tomatoes to try to add some flavour to it . He brought me after a further long wait a plate of freezing cold sliced tomatoes with some olive oil on it . The garlic bread was over cooked thin and dry . 3 of us could not eat the focaccia , we complained and were met again with a rather condescending attitude of disdain They did have the good grace to deduct 2 of them from the bill We paid £55 for a bowl of mediocre rigatoni and 2 beers and 2 soft drinks Very poor service and equally poor standard of food . Much much better places elsewhere to eat who will give you the service and quality that stands Jersey apart Sorrento Je in St Aubins is amazing

The Rigatoni can be found on the busy Liberty Wharf in St Helier. It is a very busy place and is probably worth booking. When we arrived at our agreed time our table wasn't ready but they really looked after us with complimentary olives and garlic bread We both had, different, pastas and they were really tasty and very fresh The lady who was looking after the tables and bookings did a great job. She was very outgoing, customer focussed and chatty and made you feel welcome. I didn't get her name but she came from Porto

I travel a lot with business. Eating out alone is not always enjoyable. I went out early to avoid the rush. Loads of empty tables but I was told that they couldn’t give me a table because they were expecting to be busy and I was a lone diner. I was offered a bar stool in a corner, facing a wall where the bookings computer was. I had had a long day, still had work to do and just wanted something quick so accepted. There seemed to be two maitre de’s, one said there was a seat outside but the other said I was fine on the stool. The ‘table’ I was perched on housed the bookings laptop and the speaker for the whole restaurant was on a ledge above my head. I should have walked then. The rude maitre de kept coming over and wiggling the mouse on the computer next to me but didn’t actually do anything with it. He didn’t speak and it was a little intimidating: I was offered water whilst I perused the menu. The same maitre de came to take my order. He was stony faced and I seemed to be an inconvenience, I noted he wasn’t like that with other customers. My food came, it was very nice, unfortunately the wine I had ordered didn’t. The second maitre de came to take my plates and asked how my meal had been. I said it was disappointing to be seated where I was. He explained it was because it was a busy Friday night and they were expecting larger parties. I pointed out that a number of tables had been left empty the whole time I had been there. I also asked if his partner/mother had been treated like this as a lone traveller whether he would be happy. He apologised, brought a complimentary drink and said he hoped that I would come back.if only he had dealt with me the whole time I think my experience would be very different. Unless you give Connor some front of house training on how to treat ALL customers I fear you will not get the positive views that the rest of your team and the restaurant itself deserves!

Such a poor service, male staff member was extremely rude to a table sat outside. Got the orders wrong on numerous occasions. They barely understood any English, and I’ve experienced better service from my local cafe. The mains were delivered with sides missing and one dish completely missing to the point were we had to wait for boys to notice us. After a long wait we received a bland dry pasta, asked to speak with a manager that we also had to wait ages for him to notice us. The manager Fabio turned up and said there's nothing wrong with the pasta if you don't like it then leave it?! Not good at all. Shocking attitude. Will not return again - For being a main Italian restaurant in St Helier, basic standards were not met. Same male staff were too busy chatting with each other instead of paying attention to the customers! I'd like to write to head office to explain my disappointment because I am so upset to be treated that way. Unacceptable!

We went for a dinner there this weekend, big big mistake. This place can't call themselves an authentic Italian restaurant. I ordered the Diavola pizza, the dough was not fresh, there's no way they can call their cold chewy pizza freshly made? When I mentioned this to my server he was very apologetic, however his manager was not interested in listening to our concerns. I didn't appreciate his defensive and quite aggressive attitude. Cherry on top, if you wish to add any extra items on your pizza, be prepared to pay £4 for ham or £8.50 for extra mozzarella. I got better pizzas from Dominos, honestly you can get the same pub-like food down the street for better price.

The Rigatoni Jersey
Good afternoon Graham, Thank you for taking the time to write a review after visiting The Rigatoni. We’re sorry our pizzas didn’t quite hit the spot and that you left the restaurant reminiscing about Domino's and pub-like food. Whether you’re Team The Rigatoni or Team Domino’s, we’re all part of the universal pizza-loving family so no jealousy there. We would like to clarify that any add-ons for pizzas are priced at £1.50 per item including the Mozzarella and Ham. We do hope to have the opportunity to welcome you on another occasion to change your mind about our pizza’s! Kind regards, The Rigatoni Jersey

The waiter was so rude. I asked for the WiFi password and when I said could he please spell it for me, he walked away and served someone else. My wife and I felt very offended. At the end of the day, the customer should always come first; we as customers pay money for the food and to be treated respectfully. The owner of this restaurant should educate his staff accordingly. I will never go there again.

We were fortunate to discover this restaurant on our first evening of our mini break with friends in Jersey. The place was understandably full but Hugo the manager kindly made room for us. We enjoyed some authentic Italian dishes at reasonable prices and a couple of bottles of wine........the variety of dishes and wines available was excellent and the food was of plentiful portions, delicious and promptly served. We enjoyed it so much that we returned two nights later for or final meal in Jersey before returning home. The Wild Mushroom, Mascarpone and Truffle Oil risotto is the best Italian dish I have ever enjoyed (and I've been fortunate to eat many across Europe and the USA). We all agreed we would revisit Jersey just to dine at this restaurant again. Hugo is such a lovely man, warm and welcoming. A terrific Italian bistro in a wonderful location just opposite St Helier marina
