Absolutely fantastic!

Finally made it to Kyoto Restobar after enjoying many take aways. Having already worked my way through their sushi menu I thought I’d try their a la carte and it did not disappoint. There is something for everyone here. We shared the tempura prawns and squid which were both divine, then I had the tuna, my husband the sashimi platter. Seriously delicious, best seared tuna I’ve had in Jersey, or infact, in a long time. Christians service is impeccable and Mihai’s cheffing skills are another level. As it was my fathers birthday they even brought us a very indulgent dessert sharing plate which, even though we were all very full was just too good not to devour. The brownie..just wow!! Thanks guys, you are the best and we’ll be back very soon.

We enjoy all kinds of asian foods and this was a nice experience we didn't expect to find in Jersey. It's a cute little place with very attentive service, great roots reggae music (tonight) and a very enjoyable meal. We had the vegetable gyoza and crispy fried tofu to start, followed by prawn tempura and beef hibachi. Washed down with a very nice rose prosecco it made for a very enjoyable evening. One minor gripe, we enjoy sake but it's rather expensive here, we've had loads in Tokyo which was more affordable. Highly recommended.

First time but definitely not the last time at Kyoto

My first time visiting Kyoto and what an amazing experience - the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble and they were so helpful assisting us to make menu choices. The food ….. phenomenal 11/10 - mouth watering flavours, incredible choice (really is something for everyone and even better to share) generous portions and excellent value - every bite was a delight. My only regret is that I had not been sooner, we will definitely be back. Thank you team Kyoto

Amazing sushi!!

This is a great little hidden gem in Jersey with amazing sushi which is what I went for. The sushi is in a different league to Bento and the staff are fantastic…so helpful & polite. Jersey has been crying out for another sushi restaurant…Soy is good but so expensive & the sushi sizes are much smaller. Kyoto also do takeaway which is another bonus as it’s so hard to get takeaway sushi on the island! Well done Kyoto 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Delightful

I had the pleasure of dining at Kyoto twice this month, and both experiences were nothing short of exceptional. We were greeted with warmth and hospitality, setting the tone for a delightful time. We explored a variety of dishes, each one more delicious than the last. The sushi was incredibly fresh, the noodles were perfectly cooked, the katsu was crispy and flavorful, and the Sunday roast was a delight. Every bite was a testament to the chef's skill and dedication to authenticity. The staff members were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, always ready to assist and enhance our dining experience.

Half-term celebration.

Lovely restaurant with friendly, attentive and knowledgeable staff. Food was beautifully presented, well-cooked and quickly prepared. All staff were professional, friendly and welcoming. The vegetarian curry was delicious and served with vegetable tempura and onion rings. The green tea cheesecqke was unusual and delightful. A joyful experience.

Wonderful experience

This is our 3rd time to come in Kyoto. Our favorite is the crispy and spicy salmon and we tried the Sunday roast as well. We always had the best meal and satisfied everytime we visited this place. Foods are amazing as always. One of the reason to come back again and again is having Emie as our server. She's very welcoming, always have a smile on her face and attentive to our needs. We will comeback again and thank you Kyoto for providing a good service.

What a gem to find

What a gem for Jersey. I’m so so happy that we have crossed upon this Kyoto. I have to say that from the moment you step inside this restaurant, a cozy and welcoming environment kicks in. We had prawns for starter, edamame beans with salt, and chicken dumplings, what a great choice that was. We tried the 40 pieces platter, as we were 4 at the table, and that was a great choice indeed. Our waiter Magdalena was second to none. She recommended a great glass of wine for my wife, and explained the history of the vineyard producing this wine 😳, that was just marvellous. Overall, food was spot on, and service as well. We will be back for sure, but for now, we understood that they have another one in St Tobin, so we will check that next. But definitely we will come back to Kyoto.

We came to celebrate our anniversary, we thoroughly enjoyed the staff’s input to help us order what we wanted! I have to say the food was amazing. We will definitely be coming back. Loved the food and the helpfulness of the staff with the food choices.

My new favourite restaurant…lovely food, staff…what more can you ask for

I recently got my dad to try sushi a couple of months ago when visiting at home and promised when he popped over to Jersey that I would take him for some delicious sushi…and tonight we did just that and Kyoto did not disappoint from the warm welcome on arrival through to when we had to roll out of the door! Not having the chance to try it out before he arrived, it was a gamble but confident with the feedback I had seen over social media I was looking forward to it. We opted for the chef’s platter along with some chicken gyoza and the staple endameme beans with the spicy dressing….we all left full and very content! A bit of an observer i watched the other diners meals come out and every plate was well presented and looked delicious! I can’t wait to go back and try some other dishes.

Food good but service much too slow. For mid week it was very busy, a testament to the quality of food but having one person covering all the tables, smacks of complete indifference to the overall concept of a good dining experience. Only the quality of food prevents me from downgrading to 3 out of 5

Phenomenal meal in a lovely environment. The restaubar might be the size of a postage stamp but it is all buzz and excitement with every plate a delight... including watching what your neighbours are having. Staggeringly good gyoza, and prawn starters with duck and steak noodles. Beautiful quality and full of subtle and delightful flavours. Hope we get to go back for sushi one day 🌟

What a Gem! Delicious food.

I really enjoyed this restobar's fare. I've had some bland sushi in the past, but chef, here, delivers really good flavours, and I loved the presentation. I have no hesitation in recommending the Kyoto Restobar. I was looking at other tables orders, and wishing for those, too. I'll be back again, and again until I've tried everything on the menu. The only thing that perplexes me is why they serve pizzas? Chef should have the confidence to set his stall out. and go all the way; perhaps some noodle dishes? I doubt he can go wrong judging by tonight's experience.

Amazing food and amazing service. Went for a date night to the highly recommended Kyoto Restobar in St. Helier and I was not disappointed. We shared a couple rolls and chicken gyozas - all of which tasted super good and very fresh. I would also like to highlight the welcoming and overall service from both servers - their attention to detail was very good and they both found time to chat to us during and after our meal. I will be back!

Excellent...as usual!!

We went to the restaurant this time on a Tuesday evening...and was greeted as usual by the super friendly team. It was nicely busy when we arrived but service was appropriately attentive and we never felt rushed or ignored, for that matter. We chose tuna sashimi, prawn ngiri, california roil and dragonb roll (awesome!), all washed down with cool crisp Japanese beer...very nice. Magda hosted us...attentive, very friendly and welcoming...we ended up being the last in the restaurant, but no pressure to leave. A great evening out...again! Thanks PS...always the "go to" place for sushi takeaway platters, and always superb...my daughter is already pestering me for the next home delivered platter!
