Nice selection of home-made food, made by Sula herself and her team. Vegetarian, fish and meat dishes offered. Do take a look at what's cooking in the kitchen before you order off the menu. Nice relaxing view over the bay. The pizzas are good too, and if you want, they are delivered promptly to your place by Giannis. The omelettes are not so good - I think they could use a few more eggs. Take a mosquito repellent in the early evenings as it's a bit of a mossie-trap. Staff are great!

This review is of both the pension and the restaurant.
We were a party of 4 need to stay for one night in Votzi. Dimitris Pension was right by the harbor and had very nice apartments with great washing machines.
The service was excellent from the first call to ask for reservations for the apartment all the way to both dinner and breakfast meals.
The Apartment we got had a nice balcony with an excellent view of the harbor and the sea. The little town of Votzi is a beautiful place to stay. Quiet and stunningly beautiful.
The food was typical greek taverna grill where there always is a couple of daily specials with the staff recommends and describes very well.
The taverna and the pension both have great WiFi and all the amenities required.
Highly recommended place to stay and eat something!

“We have some roast chicken in the oven with potatoes baked in a lemon sauce”!
That’s what we were greeted with, along with “spinach and rice, and a “baked spaghetti with cream and cheese”?
What more do you need to know, apart from the food was excellent, as was the two 0.5 litre carafes of wine that we washed it down with and the free dessert and all for under 40 euros!!!!!

We were eating at about 9pm so maybe a little late however we were disappointed.
The menu I would describe as basic but enough for you to find something to eat. However the service was not good - maybe they were just a bit rushed off their feet but the beer was warm and the food cold!!
When we fed back they did admit that they had been busy doing other things so maybe our meals were left out for longer than they should have been. We were given free deserts for the inconvenience but in reality a hot meal would have been preferred.
It is a lovely location and there are only a few eating places to choose from but we were disappointed.

This lovely cafe/taverna overlooks Votsi beach and serves perfectly cooked traditional Greek dishes, as well as snacks & pizza. We went in the evening and chose from the 'plate of the day'. The service was excellent and friendly, and a couple of local cats kept us company.

Wonderful local restaurant with happy to serve staff and delicious food.
Having been 100% ignored at Panoulis across the road we wandered into Dimitris to a warm welcome and a lovely table with a fantastic view.
We ate omlettes, a carafe of wine and enjoyed every morsel. The waiter was friendly and chatty - just hit the perfect spot.
Everyone in the restaurant experienced possibly the loudest thunderclap ever... Followed by torrential rain. We all jumped sky high and everyone was laughing at the crazy weather and our dramatic screams at the noise! Lovely people, delicious food and a nice experience all round.

We went to eat, once for lunch and once for dinner. Very tasty stuffed and cheese pies from Alonissos, worth trying. The pizza (8 pieces) equally delicious. However, quite expensive. Stuffed €8, cheese pie €12, pizza €11-12. At least you're eating though. Polite staff and nice environment (terrace overlooking the port of Votsis).

Stopped for lunch after swimming in the crystal clear water. Sat on a terrace overlooking the bay. The beer was cold, the coffee strong, and the greek salad dressed to perfection. Pizza also, had a crisp base, fresh ingredients. Perfect for lunch. Highly recommended.

This is an idyllic spot, wonderful sea view, great food and very friendly people. Moma cooks the fresh food daily, good choice. We went twice in the 3 days we were on Alonissos.

We were staying nearby for a couple of weeks and this was one of our local venues, we went on our 1st night and came back a couple of times (maybe more?), this is informal Greeks dining at its best, the location overlooking the harbour is lovely, the welcome warm and the food excellent, the days' plates are recommended.

Fantastic taverna with a terrific view over the port. The kitchen is typical Greek, where they make daily dishes that are honest, simple and beautiful. The taste is great and the staff is all family. Very friendly.
