Arrived to find weather good enough to sit outside, with stunning views, and really enjoyed a starter if squid, and mains of whitebait ( tasted fresh, not greasy at all ), burger and chicken fajitas which my daughter said were the best she'd ever had....More

A lovely pub overlooking the East Cowes Marina, a nice vibe and the food was fantastic with an extensive gluten free menu. Prices were slightly expensive but worth it. Would definitely visit again

We had a very enjoyable meal at The Lifeboat last night. We took the floating bridge across the Medina from Cowes which our children enjoyed. Looking forward to coming back here in summer so that we can sit on the deck and enjoy the views.

Visit here regularly for the location especially in the summer sitting on the decking area. Good pub food! Good for midweek chill out on the sofas with a beer or wine too! Gets very busy in the summer months. Very friendly attentive staff..

We knew we were going to arrive close to last food order time (sailing in) but they were happy to take a preliminary order by phone. Our food was brought out before we’d even finished ordering drinks at the bar having arrived just a minute...More

If we travel to the Isle of Wight we always call for a meal at The Lifeboat. If the sun is shining it's great outdoors but equally as good indoors (in winter looking out across the marina), for food or just a drink. As a...More

Great choice of menu, with enough variety to suit all tastes, including vegetarian. They were very accommodating when (after being ill), wanted something...More

Description
The Lifeboat stands proudly over East Cowes Marina, which is a huge favourite of visiting yachtsmen in the summer, but also a family-friendly home-from-home for locals too. In the summer, our large outside decking area offers one of the best riverside dining experiences on the Island. For many visitors to the Isle of Wight, East Cowes will be their first port of call, since the Red Funnel car ferry docks here, delivering its passengers from Southampton straight into the town centre. East Cowes is the home of Osborne House and was once a maritime industrial town and former home of British Hovercraft. One of the most arresting landmarks many people will see, as they approach from the ferry, is the vast Union Jack painted onto the shore side doors of the old hovercraft factory. Now, East Cowes is a small but busy town with a cluster of popular shops and a stunning marina development.
