We used to be regulars at The Richmond Arms, but after a meal there last June when the service was awful we'd been too scared to go back. We finally decided to give it another go last night, and we can safely say that The...More

Found this place on Trip Advisor and well worth a visit. Had a cracking Sunday lunch. Staff experienced and friendly. Good choice on the menu. Tasty play on some of the classics. Would recommend.

Slightly off the beaten track and quieter at lunchtimes but book anyway as busy in the evenings! Interesting changing menu of very well balanced dishes, flavouring is excellently subtle and not overwhelming. Good choice throughout the menu and always great to see a full menu...More

to be honest I can't remember seeing one (it was dark). Great pub for a casual drink and eats is at The Royal Oak, just north of Chilgrove. Great atmosphere, real country pub down a winding lane!
