This place is fabulous all round.. Food on a much higher level than anything in the area. A menu that actually excites, with fun and flavoursome dishes.. as opposed to the repetitive, boring and often bland offerings of many pub/restaurants. West Sussex is lucky to have such an establishment- buzzing atmosphere, delicious and extremely well executed menu, and knowledgable, efficient... More

Oh dear there is always one and this time it is me. We really did not enjoy our evening at The Richmond and I feel with fair justification. 1. Food My husband ordered Turbot and for £23 he expected more than the tail end with very little meat on it. It came with a side of boiled potatoes with no... More

We ate here several times when we were in the area in April, July and September. Every time it was consistently excellent. Particular dishes I should highlight were the tempura soft shell crab, fish, the serrano ham, the goat and every Sunday lunch we had. Service was outstanding as always and whilst the fare is fine dining standard the prices... More

We are regulars at this excellent country pub but this was the first time we went for Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed. Its so nice to be able to have something a little different for Starters but still have a classic albeit very high quality sunday roast to follow. My wife had a wonderful stuffed courgette flower and... More

Had a lovely lunch with the family, we started with the Chorizo scotch eggs, which were the best scotch egg I have ever had, then we had the steaks, cooked on BBQ with dripping cooked chips. The staff could not have been nicer and all came out in good time and piping hot. Excellent and recommended.

We've been before to the skittle alley with our dog and had a very nice pizza but the restaurant experience is something completely different. The menu is concise but varied and innovative, so much so, with the exception of the pork dish (which I don't eat) I asked the maitre'd to select my starter and main as a surprise. Both... More

We walked there from the campsite with the intent off a couple of drinks and a snack, we were slightly disappointed and as a real ale drinker I find £4.50 for an average pint very expensive. It is more a restuarant than pub and certainly had lots of custom on the Sunday we were there

We brought my parents here for their anniversary dinner. The food was wonderful, the staff were exceptionally friendly and very helpful, and there was a nice atmosphere. The menu was very varied. We shared camembert & figs and Thai tempura fish to start. I had slow cooked goat with courgette and crispy chick peas, my partner had beef bavette with... More
