We decided to eat here to celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary. It was always quite busy when we walked past and we had been recommended to go as well. We both had chicken breast with a peppercorn sauce. I had Gran Canaria potatoes with it and my wife had chips and rice. It came with a mixture of veg. We... More

We visited here 4 years ago and the main waiter is still the same wise cracking guy! You are really looked after here with free appetisers to a drink on the house when your finished but what I like most apart from the great food is that you are not rushed here it's like old Spain take your time have... Our second time here in three years, came for lunch on a Wednesday. We were not disappointed. Service was heartfelt and friendly, not rushed or intrusive, and that makes a lot of difference in Paseo Faro. We ordered seafood paella and it was a genuine delight. This is such a difficult dish to get just right, but they know their... More

Try the seafood Paella, you won't regret. So far, this was the best Paella that we've ever eaten. We do almost try to hunt for a good Paella throughout the Canary Islands and Majorca. Well, this is the best.

As enthusiastic cooks we have quite high expectations when paying to eat out. In Playa Del Ingles, as with so many popular holiday destinations, it can be difficult to choose between numerous restaurants with broadly similar menus. What immediately struck us about La Bodega was that there were no staff members trying to persuade us to eat there. We choose... More

Went to this restaurant after a holiday in gran canaria we fancied somewhere nice for food close to the beach, this place hit the mark in every sense of the word, the staff were so polite well mannered and helpful and the food was out of this world and very reasonably priced. Ask for Homer Simpson he's the manager and... More

We visited the restaurant very early on in our holiday for lunch ... we didn't however feel the need to return. The old waiter (perhaps owner) wasn't very polite. When I wanted to pay the bill at the end of the meal I had to go to the bar to do this. The waitress / barmaid showed a similar "lack... More

Lovely place lovely people, literally was plied with food until I was about to pop, so generous and friendly, down sides?? They asked my husband to taste the wine, not me? They asked my husband if he would like a brandy, not me? Bit sexist. The calamari was very rubbery, but rest of food was delicious. They also tend to... More

One of the big pluses of this restaurant was there ability to accommodate nine people with no notice. The food was good quality and was reasonable value but they kept sending out extra plates of garlic bread which we hadn't ordered. The waiter was a bit of a character...nice to see someone enjoying their work!!!

During our stay we came to La Bodega's three times with mixed results. We enjoy the service particularly from the older waiters and the nice touches such as a free taster before your meal which this week was cherry tomatoes in oil, salt and pepper. We were also given on the house Spanish Omelette and bread. One late light meal... More
