We went here for a change from the all inclusive in the hotel and we thought that the quality of the food was good and the portions were huge, maybe a tad expensive but we were totally full and were glad that we never ordered a starter as the main meal was so filling! Staff friendly and attentive.

The food wasn't too bad to be fair, but a simple salad, an omlette and two cokes for €33.50 was simply over the top. Service was poor, despite clearly understanding our order it arrived wrong. The coke tasted watered down even before the ice started to melt and was served in heavy tankards - not quite what my partner was... More

We visited here with our family - my parents in particular visited frequently during their three week stay on the island. Tucked away down the back walkway to the beach. Great pit stop for a beer and a bite to eat after been on the beach. The beer is only 2 euros and the food is great if you want... More

Not sure who those reviewers who give this place 4-5 stars. I don't normally review restaurants at all, but this place was really disappointing. Pizza was made with tinned mushrooms and tuna and frozen shrimps. Grilled squid was OK, but nothing more Fried sardines - ok, but nothing inspiring Dirty cutlery and shaky tables ...but, most of all I got... More

Ok so there are many other similar restaurants in the area but we chose this one for its friendly staff and the very good tapas, plus the wines were not very expensive.

This should be our last evening so we followed recommendation which was a big mistake. Unfriedly to the uppermost frozen food from the worst quality ever seen. This restaurant is just existing to earn money with no existing value.

Friendly staff, well organised. Food was lovely, tried various things from the menu. Sangria was pretty good too!

The menu at Don Quijote is the same as the menu at about 50 other restaurants close to the beach in Maspalomas. Good points: The menu is varied enough that you'll be able to feed everyone in even a large party with different tastes. It's not very expensive. Not so good: These beach-side restaurants are not the right place to... More

The food here was OK, it was formulaic and had nothing spectacular that other beach- side restaurants had. The service is average and the prices are medium. When our bill arrived it had 3 items on it that we hadn't ordered, so do check your bill when it arrives.

All the restaurants that run along this strip behind the beach look the same with similar menus. Basic food like shish kebabs with chips and salad etc. This one is by far the best. Look for the staff in orange tops! They are really friendly...it's one of those places that entices you in with offers of free drinks and ice... More
