As I had the opportunity to say at the scene… the experience was great! It wasn't my first time at Jomafel and, every time I stop there, the feeling is always the same... in addition to the quality of the products, the friendliness, kindness and care with which we are treated is incredible! Thank you very much to Maria José, the Baker at Jomafel, for taking the time to come and meet us! I loved that moment and it was wonderful to know a little about your story!

I ordered "folhado misto" which was delicious, and the coffee was also very good. Staff is very friendly.

The road nr 1 mantains several off road restaurants with what we could call as Portuguese snacks. This place Jomafel begins as a bakery and today it's a well decorated restaurant with a gentle and fast service with a great ratio of price/ quality. Probably one of the best bean soup on the road, a great "pão com chouriço picante" Spicy Bread with chorizo, nice "Pastel de Nata" the Portugueses custard pies, etc. Each day there's typical Portuguese gastronomy dishes at awesome prices regarding the quality and quantity. Finnaly try some different breads. They are all excellent. Good draft beer and excellent expresso! A place to stop and relax.

I've been a Jomafel customer for 50 years, but lately it's been a house that's been disappointing. Today after they informed that they had not cooked at 12:00, then we saw they were served cooked with abundance. We opted for the entrecosto in the oven which instead only had the bones.
I sincerely hope it was just a bad day.

Do NOT go here if you're dieting. But if you're dieting, why the heck are you in Portugal in the first place? Jomafel has a great selection of freshly baked breads, pastries, and desserts, along with a variety of snacks and small plates. We stuck with coffee and a variety of breads and desserts, all of which were wonderful. The bifana (a pork cutlet sandwich) is now all over the city and seemed immensely popular with the locals. Absolutely worth a stop.
