Yesterday we had a wonderful evening in this restaurant. The team is fast and super friendly.
The map is small but highly recommended. From various appetizers to Kösespätzle and goose to Kaiserschmarren just delicious!
Small tip, follow the red wine recommendation of the boss and definitely order a bagger. It's worth it

How cool is this place?
A restaurateur with a brain who knows exactly what he's doing... a top team, a great wine list, cool crowd and really well-cooked dishes!!! Awesome and would love to go back! Solid luxury paired with
sporty elegance!

The food was sensational. This is how you imagine Austrian cuisine in Germany! The service is extremely adorable and the ambience completes the perfect evening! Many thanks also to the great boss who made it difficult for us to let go (haha).

We recently dined at Fronhof and found the service lacking professionalism. While the food was satisfactory, the limited selection of main courses was disappointing. Moreover, the prices were at the high end of the spectrum for what was offered. Unfortunately, the nice atmosphere didn't make up for it; we did not feel treated as guests with the grumpy service.

Small but fine menu. Something for everyone. Very good wine selection. Veltins and Tegernseer beer on tap.
Styrian vitello. Fine Matjes fillets. Kaiserschmarrn. Very nice atmosphere. Public free parking around the corner. Service was very accommodating. A successful evening. I'm already looking forward to the Martins goose.

Hands down one of the best restaurants i have ever been to. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is amazing and the food is just exceptional. I live about 1.5 hours away from Meerbusch but as i already said today, i am willing to drive here every evening to be able to enjoy this restaurant that i have discovered on a work trip. It is simply wonderful and i hope many more are going to discover this little piece of ‚heaven on earth‘!!
Liebe Grüße an euch,
Julia.

We decided to have Dinner at Fronhof during the traditional Goose time in November and December. Having had lots of disappointments in Düsseldorf we decided to give Fronhof in Meerbush a try. The best decision ever!
The restaurant is quaint with a very nice Austrian design reminding us of Après Ski. The portions were larger than expected and of an excellent quality. The dessert (Kaiserschmarn) was simply sublime.
As soon as you sit down you are served with a delicious loaf of bread that seems handmade.
As you can see from the pictures we had a soup with Goose and goose liver on mashed potatoes for starters.
As a main course we both went for breast of goose with red cabbage, dumplings and a baked apple in jus.
Even though we really shouldn't have we decided to go for the excellent Kaiserschmarn as Dessert. This was served with Plums and Vanilla Icecream and was simply delicious.
The choice of Wines available offers something for everyone and afterwards there is an excellent selection of digestifs.
Should you have had too much to drink, a Taxi back to Düsseldorf will only set you back €35.
Next time round we will definitely go for other Austrian specialities having heard that the Wienerschnitzel is supposed to be excellent too.
N.B. Should you go in November and December you definitely need to make a reservation as the place is usually packed to the last seat.

Located in the historic part of Meerbusch-Lank is the Restaurant Fronhof. They dismantled an old building from Austria and re-erected it inside a building. The atmosphere is super cosy, especially this time of the year. As an appetizer we had smoked salmon with pan fried potato patties a spring salad. the dressing was a tasty mustard base and a very good horseradish sauce completed the dish. I had goose breast with a potato dumpling and red cabbage in a wonderful chestnut gravy. My daughter had the traditional dish of Rouladen. Very authentic and tasty.
The menu is not very big but everything looked good and pricing was reasonable. Fronhof has a good wine list and a very good selection of after dinner drinks including very nice schnapps like Pear Williams, Mirabelle and others.
Overall a very nice dinner experience.

A simple Austrian feel to the restaurant with lots of wood everywhere. Excellent veal steak, thick (unusual but welcome) and perfectly cooked - rare as requested. Starter was also perfectly cooked and presented and overall a lovely place in a charming olde worlde location.
