Visited the beautiful town of Frascati and found this fabulous Osteria. Isabella is the most wonderful host - happy, friendly, and superbly attentive. Stefano the chef cooks up the most delicious fare you could hope for. And lots of it!!!! Well worth heading out of Rome ( or Australia) to dine here. So good, we returned for dinner the following... Checked out several locations in Frascati and decided that this might be the best option. And we were absolutely rigth. Trusted Ms Isabella when she tried to explain the menue and we just agreed to start with the antipasto. Ham, 2 kinds of Salami, 5 kinds of Olives, 1 whole Mozzarella, pork and a cheese plate. Had some fun with... More

We were greeted by the wonderful manageress who made us feel very welcome. No menu here but a great variety of food brought to you and we left very full and happy! This place is extremely cheap for the quality of food and service. Definitely worth a visit!

Been there today. Very friendly Lady Who was constantly singing and enjoying both herself and the dining guests. Just happened to pass by and it was an unexpected delight. Very cheap. If you have an open mind and don't mind eating aperitivos from a plastic plate, then this is a must-go. The porchetta is fantastic. Again : just go and... More

Plastic plates. Paper table cloth. Narrow benches to sit on. But don't be put off ... This is a fun place to eat. The host has a few words of English and Isabella (a dynamo of charm) is fluent in French. The food is simple, but high quality. We asked for a mixed anti pasta: 3 types of olives, mozzarella,... We had just arrived in Frascati. It was 2.30, hungry and in need of a wine we stumbled across this lovely looking terrace with a few people eating on it. The owner was having lunch...she does not speak a word of English but made us most welcome. No menu, we had lasagne ( that's what she was having) and a... More

We had just arrived in Frascati and needed a quick bite to eat. Il Grappolo d'Oro looked okay, so we stopped in. Immediately, Isabella made us feel welcome with her humor and hospitality. We didn't want wine as we planned to have wine with dinner, and she jokingly said we could have wine or leave - and then brought a... More

We sat on narrow wooden benches for lunch and accepted the offer to just bring us food. Unfortunately for my wife, who doesn't eat mammals, it was mostly salty meat...even too salty for me. There was some good cheese and honey. My wife ordered a separate, adequate dish of pasta. The restaurant features the local porchetta (roast pork), which was... More

We arrived to the city early in the day and not being used to the time change we set out looking for food around 5:00 pm. We finally stumbled upon this gem, not even sure if they were open we were invited in immediately. Without menus or speaking the language we were given multiple courses of the most delicious food...
