Very nice service and menu - a number of regional/Norman specialties and fresh local ingredients - we had our first 'Trou Normand' (a palate teaser of cider sorbet with a splash of Calvados). Quality dinner in a village setting, 10 minute drive from Chateau Bonnemare

We enjoyed eating here back in May 2015. We were staying at Le Chateau de Bonnemare and our hosts were kind enough to provide us dinner reservations at La Potiniere. We had a very wonderful dining experience despite our mediocre French!! The food was superb and the courses kept coming. This place was an unexpected highlight of our trip through... More

We were spending our last night in France, and breaking up our journey back to the UK. We were staying at the Chateau Bonnemare (absolutely stunning) The hosts there, recommended this hotel and booked the table for us. Not easy to find, and we ended up asking one of the locals, who physically took us there! What a wonderful restaurant it... More

Their menu on Facebook tempted me and I was not disappointed. The server spoke excellent English to my horrible French. The wine flowed easily. A vegetarian meal not on the menu was prepared for me while my family ate well of typical Normandy fare with fresh fish. Look around and see local people enjoying their meals and you will know... The food in this restaurant was fantastic. the wine list is even better. we both had fois gras to start which was great, my wife had a Sainte Pierre fish which she said was superb and I had a steak cooked to perfection. My son (who is 8) didn't like anything on the menu we asked if they could do... More

We stayed in nearby chatteu and the restaurant was recommended to us by the owners. Not easy to find (although the village is small). Very friendly (English speaking) service. We had a 25 euro menu with local Normandy specialties snails and Caen tripes - both delicious, followed by the excellent choice of cheese board and desert - you top it... More

We were staying in a gite on a nearby farm and were recommended to try this restaurant by the gite owner. We were not dissapointed. The service was very friendly and speedy. My husband and I had the 25 euro menu and we thought this was excellent value. The portions were large, in fact a little too big for me,... More
