I dont really like writing poor reviews as you would see from my portfolio but this curry restaurant is really quite poor. They do not flavour things correctly and the delivery service was very slow. I did not find any aspect of the meal worthy of repeat business and i would not recommend it as a worthwhile takeaway.

I'm not going to whiter on.... This will be simple. Been coming to this restaurant for 10 years and the food is one of the best I have eaten at over the world. I use this Indian as a measuring stick for any other Indian restaurant. Great food. Comfortable and friendly

My son and his friends recommend this place so tried it on a week night. It was quiet there was only one other table occupied and they were on first name terms with the waiter so obviously regulars. We has the fixed menu. Poppadum's chutneys and Onion Bhaji starter really nice. For mains we had butter chicken, which I found... More

The food here is delicious! It is my favourite Indian on the Wirral. Introduced my friends to it and now they all travel here to get there takeaway. The restaurant is very good value for money. There is a 3 course deal for £10 which is lovely. The staff aren't particularly friendly but worth putting up with them for the... More

OK so there are posher indian restaurants on the wirral, and tastier but I always enjoy my visits to the Ambuja. It provides a good selection of decent food at a decent price. the staff are always welcoming and friendly. Yeah OK you can go to other places and have a much posher experience and for some dishes there are... More

We called into this restaurant on a weekday evening at about 6pm. We were told to sit down on the sofas at the front of the restaurant where we stayed for about ten minutes. Eventually, a waiter brusquely told us to 'come through'. We followed him in to the eating area, expecting that they had either just opened or that... More

My wife & I have just been to Ambuja in Thingwall, Wirral. To our surprise they had 4 courses for £9.95 each. We had popadoms & pickles a starter each, 2 curries, pilau rice & naan bread a couple of glasses of coke & a bottle of ice cold water, £22.90p. The portions were plenty & every thing was really... Early evening meal and restaurant very quiet. Very nice meal and good service. Varied selection of starters and mains but as with most indian restaurants not a great selection of desserts. Food was served well with plates warm so food did not go cold.

Ordered a take away and found that when I got home, the wrong meals were in the bag. Phoned up to ask for the correct meals to be delivered and was told we would have to wait an hour and the person on the phone was very rude and did not apologise. Decided to go to the restaurant myself top... More

I ordered a take away which consisted of a simple two dishes. Unfortunately, after collecting the meals, we discovered both were wrong. I phoned the restaurant to explain they had given us the wrong meals but they said well you'll have to wait for an hour for us to deliver new ones, despite it being their mistake and had a... More
