Just a 10 minute walk from Corinthia Palace is this lovely little restaurant. A must is to try the Platters, we had mixed which was piled with various meats and cheeses with bread/biscuits arriving in a little bag. Excellent service and value for money.
The restaurant offers a vast menu of pinsa and platters at great prices. The staff is very friendly and nice. It has a relaxing vibe and is definitely a place to go again.
Love this wine bar such a relaxing atmosphere. Platter are quite big and the pinsa romana is mouth watering. Very big wine list and cocktail menu. Service is good and would recommend.
Pleasant and friendly staff, delicious food and wonderful ambience near the church in Balsan. Be sure to visit this wine bar. It's special!
A relaxing atmosphere and lovely location. The wine list is well sectioned by taste and it covers several different regions as well. Staff is well mannered and attentive. Will return for more.
We found this little gem based on trip advisor reviews of places near our hotel (corinthia palace - 10 mins walk). We had a speciality platter and a bottle of local Maltese red (Nexus I think?) wine and both were gorgeous. The platter was massive...and all of it really tasty. We sat outside and there was a lovely courtyard atmosphere. Staff were friendly. Would definitely return and would highly recommend. They said there is live music on a Thursday night.More
Birthday lunch celebration on a Sunday. They have jazz on a Sunday afternoon and the 3 piece were excellent not so loud as couldn’t talk but sounds were great. Food spot on, not an extensive menu but what they produced was top drawer. Carbonara and...the pork cheeks special mention. Wines reasonably priced. Last but not least service really really good. Attentive fast and with a smile. Will return.More
FAB! We loved eating here and the wine was delicious. The atmosphere was amazing and the service was top notch. The manager was particularly attentive and managed to squeeze us in when fully booked. Highly recommended.
100% recommend. Had an amazing time at Fra Guiseppe, delicious food (platters & pinta romana just wow), good wine list and nice fun ambience. The staff really make you feel welcome and are very efficient despite being very busy. Will most definitely return at this...gem. Booking ahead is a must.More
Fantastic pizza, tasty garlic bread and very friendly waiters. I totally recommend it. Truly a hidden gem. Don't forget to book ahead
The venue is really nice. Exectly near the church and lovely decorated. The staff are so down to earth and makes you feel welcome. Well done ! The food is amazing. I will surely visit again.
We we’re greeted and served by Vladimir who was so attentive and brilliant. We just loved the ambience of the whole place especially the guitarist playing outside and not to forget the food lovely and great value! We would recommend this restaurant to everyone well...done its awesome Angus & ClaireMore
We visited here on our first full day in Malta and thank goodness we did because it allowed us to go back for our last night as well. Situated outside around an alleyway in the village of Balzan and between the walls of the old...town, the ambiance is perfect for a relaxed glass of wine or two or to nibble at their expensive menu selections. The staff were marvellous, all had time to explain things to you, even though the place was full (Top Tip: Book a table to save disappointment) and the food was wonderful as was the wine selection. Although you could say this is a restaurant as it serves lots of food it does focus on wine and sharing platters, be careful they are HUGE even when it says 'small plates', there not. This was stand out place of your holiday and I would advise anyone who is in or around this area (800 meters from our hotel Corinthis Palace) to sample an evening with Yan and his staff, it was brilliantMore
Visited the premises with a couple of friends. I will be reviewing this place on the following four pillars: 1) Quality of Food: 5/5 for the quality of food. Loved the Pinsa Romanas and the Platters. 2) Service: 4/5 food arrived really quickly albeit a...very busy place. 3) Cocktails: I was very disappointed with the cocktails we ordered. 7E for a cocktail with no alcohol. I addressed this with one of the waiters and he told me that they actually put in alcohol- which I never tasted. 4) Price: Prices like most restaurants seem to be going up. All in all loved the food and the atmosphere, however cocktails were definitely not worth the price.More
