Great food, location and service. Portion sizes of steak enormous! ! Not the cheapest evening out but we'll worth the price for a special night out.

The place and the people is really nice, but such a shame the cooking is so bad !! We only had two plates but the caprese salate was over-oiled (I love Olive oil but that was too much) and the other was oversalted and not well cooked (risotto al funghi). Too bad, the outside place is nice though.

It was rewarded by the numerous amounts of vignets on he front window. Although... We reserved at 7.30, but unfortunately the restaurant opened only at 7.40. The food was very expensive, 24 euros for a meat dish and this was without any potatoes or vegetables... The setting was positive and the amount of meat was addorable this was the most... More

We first visited this restaurant nearly 20 years ago and had a really good lunch - including one dish that my wife rated as 'historic '. 10 years later we visited again and, again, had a good experience. 10 years on we had our only disappointment of our trip. Some of the staff were still recognisable and our first courses... More

Our second time in this low key upscale establishment. Staff was very accommodating and the food delicious Our first time at this restaurant was four years ago- we were happy to be back Our meals were as delicious as we had remembered

We ordered a starter that was totally bland and boring. Had to send the risotto back as it was not cooked and just done with frozen mushrums, not salted and basically inedible. The two same pasta dishes weren't equal in size an amount of sauce. The head waiter tried his best, shame he wasn't the cook. All in all very... More

We visited Monteriggioni when staying at a nearby hotel. The restaurant run by the hotel hasn't got a very good rating here so we thought we'd try Il Pozzo for lunch. The setting is great and the 5-6 tables outside look down the length of the town square. Unfortunately the head waiter was either having a bad day or decided... More

Best fresh porcini mushroom tagliatelle in my life. Lovely female chef Daniela (?) truly passionate about her region, cooking and meeting guests from all over the world. A true pleasure. Well worth the price.

This charming little restaurant is located in a small walled Tuscany town. They serve excellent, classic Tuscan cuisine. Steaks are amazing. I've been here a few times and I highly recommend it if you are traveling around the central Tuscan area.
