The food was really fresh and tasty. We had the lamb chops, the chicken skewers and a Greek salad with water and iced-tea and paid 31 pounds, so we found this to be the best value for money traditional Greek restaurant in Lindos. The views to the acropolis are great, too. Service was polite and attentive. My daughter, who always complains, actually loved it!

Kamariko advertises itself as s traditional Greek taverna and unusually in such a touristy (if very attractive) town that is exactly what it delivers. Everything we ate was really good and clearly homemade with good ingredients at a very reasonable price. Very friendly and welcoming too with a nice terrace overlooking the town like most other Lindos restaurants. We'd go back without hesitation if we visit again!

Amazing food. We have been regular visitors to this restaurant for over seven years. The food has always been good with great service. But oh my word they have excelled themselves. Hubby has seafood pasta in every restaurant in Lindos and this was by far the best. He had the Fisherman’s pasta packed with mussels, squid and prawns. Seasoned with garlic, chilli, sage and a hint of fennel. I have the kebab, really tasty and well seasoned. Will definitely be returning for more delicious meals this week!

Over 47 years I have travelled to many places in Greece :Athens, Livadia,Volos, Trikkala,Kalambaka,Delphi, Olympia ,Mycenae, Epidaurus,Nauplion, Amfissa, Thessaloniki and to over 20 different islands. İn all those visits I have never eaten half as well as I have at Kamariko. The chef is a magician with flavour!We have eaten there last time in Lindos,and brought friends this time to share the experience.

The restaurant had been hired by our Bridesmaid and Best Man for use for our Hen & Stag party that evening. It was a fantastic night that everyone thoroughly enjoyed, the food was plentiful and absolutely delicious and all came out piping hot despite there being so many meals to get out!
They also suggest and helped to arrange a Greek band and Greek dancers for the evening which was such a good idea, all our guests loved the dancing and had so much fun. The staff were getting involved too and truly made it such a memorable night all topped off with plenty of plate smashing and champagne spraying! I would recommend this to anyone for either a lovely meal or for an event, you won't be disappointed!

It seems to be at the home of friends, a beautiful terrace overlooking the acropolis. Good service, nice dishes, for me too many flavors together, but my friends especially liked the meatballs (exceptional, the best ever eaten), very rich and special salad. I who am vegetarian I took eggplants “pregnant” I did not particularly like. The royal chicken tasted too little like chicken, too much flavor. The beer unfortunately was not served in ice glasses, good dessert offered by the house.

This is a hidden gem in Lindos town, set on a little side street the taverna has a gorgeous roof top space to dine and take in the views. We dined here twice in our trip as we enjoyed the food and service so much. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful with the menu, we noticed lots of authentic dishes we had never tried before in other trips to Greece also! The swordfish I ordered was probably the best I’ve had, extremely fresh beautifully cooked and presented, my husband had a Greek dish called Soutzoukakia which was delicious too!! We will definitely be back on our return trip to Lindos!

If you are looking for a local experience, good food, nice view and friendly staff, choose Kamariko.
The food is delicious, you can find vegan and vegetarian alternatives, fish and meat.

We went here based in on the google and trip advisor reviews and arrived relatively early around 7pm so we had a choice of any table! We chose a corner table with a spectacular view of the acropolis.
The staff were lovely and recommended a number of dishes to us which were amazing!
We had the hummus to start with garlic pita bread, and then the lamb shank and the long meat balls.
We were given a dessert of traditional cake and enjoyed a few drinks while watching the sun set and the acropolis light up.
The restaurant itself is beautifully traditional looking and extremely clean.
Please do visit it you are in Lindos!

Absolutely fabulous traditional Greek restaurant. All 4 of us got the lamb shank with sundried tomatoes & fresh cooked veg with mashed potatoes. 😋 The lamb fell off the bone so delicious 😋 we will return in week 2!

We have visited many restaurants in Lindos but this is by far the best. The food is consistently great and we have always received a warm welcome from this family run establishment. Last night I the fisherman’s pasta and it was amazing. The pasta was cooked perfectly and I could taste every ingredient. It wasn’t shy on seafood either. We have been visiting Lindos for many years and this is this best I have tasted.
My wife had the kebab and she said it absolutely delicious. She is very fussy about food but this is the only restaurant she has been consistently happy with over the years.
If you are visiting Lindos you must visit this restaurant. In the words of Tina Turner “ it’s simply the best “

We stopped here while strolling in Lindos. It was a great decision: the staff were very friendly, perfect English speaking, food was absolutely amazing!! We ordered 6-8 different dishes, all of them were very tasty, well balanced. The atmosphere was incredible! We will definitely put this on our favorite places in Lindos / Greece! Congrats to the hosts!

My friends and I happened across Kamariko while looking for a place offering a little more than the typical Greek tourist fare. Kamariko offers a variety of local Lindian specialities as well as vegetarian and seafood options. Our first experience was so good we decided to eat there again the next night to sample more of their menu! Cannot recommend enough! Great food and great service provided by our waiter. Will be visiting again next time in Rhodes!

The best restaurant in the village! The food was absolutely outstanding. The menu is so well put together and who ever is the brains behind the menu is a genius. We had bread with garlic butter and a Greek salad for starters. The bread was so beautiful and soft with an amazing garlic butter covering it. The Greek Salad was out of this world! Such fresh tomatoes, cucumber, onions and peppers, accompanied by the best olives I have ever had and a creamy feta cheese that will leaving you drooling, covered in a beautiful olive oil.
For mains we had Rhodian Goat and Lamb Kleftico. The Rhodian Goat was served with apple, veg and rice with raisins. It was absolutely delicious! The Lamb Kleftico was on another level! The lamb was so soft and so well seasoned!
The service was brilliant too. Lovely people running the restaurant.
This is a must visit whilst in Lindos! 10/10

Well what can I say , the service here is great but the food was fairly underwhelming. I really had high hopes for this restaurant as it was recommended. Upstairs is a little hemmed in compared to others but this is just because of its location I guess , space is at a premium here. Serving broccoli and carrots with what is meant to be a Greek Chicken Gyros/ souvlaki type dish is not a good start . Side salad with juicy Greek tomatoes and cucumbers, sweet red onion, olives etc yes , but not broccoli/ Carrots !
The moussaka was dry and slightly bitter, all in all not a great start to the evening. Complaints fall on deaf ears out here , no liability whatsoever. You’ll be spoilt for choice however, choose wisely and be prepared to spend good money .

Thank you for taking the time and expressing your opinion on how Gyros and souvlaki are served in your opinion.
Firstly I would like to mention that we do not have gyros on the menu.
Gyros could be served if the customer asks for it with the option of chicken or pork which is served on a platter with tomatoes, onion , Tzatziki, and fries, of which there are a lot of customer photos available online to see.
The chicken souvlaki which is the metal skewer with the chicken wrapped with bacon is served with roast potatoes and vegetables . Thera are also a lot of photos available online of our plate.
The dish which I think you are referring to are the souvlakis, which are called Kalamaki on a wooden skewer which is served with salad and tzatziki and normally found in various types of food establishments and are not available at the Kamariko.
One more thing, complaints do not fall on deaf ears out here as you mentioned.
All customer opinions are taken seriously and if there is something to correct we will do so.
