Tapas in a cute courtyard

We had lovely tapas lunch in their courtyard. They have also a restaurant and restaurant portions but we only ate tapas. We tried their wide selection of various tapas: meat balls, black pudding with onion, tuna with sauce, leek empanada with cheese, ox cheek and some fish. All the dishes were very... read more

Bar Juanito is a typical tapas place, but they have a restaurant inside. The tapas are nice and traditional. This also comes with the restaurant inside. Very typic spanish food without surprises. If like, or want to try this, we can recommend it. But don' t have high expectations. The service is a bit slow and anpersonal. I would recommend... More

Lovely setting and pretty good selection of typical Andaluz tapas. Ensaladilla Rusa was best of the trip, papas alinadas were too cold and watery but generally standards were high.

We had a full evening meal here which we thoroughly enjoyed. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. The inside area is quite spacious and pleasant. We couldn't decide on a single desert so the waiter made us a selection platter and then brought us a free glass of sweet sherry to compliment it!

The terrace. Is located in a small pedestrian street, just few tables under big umbrellas with colorfull flowers. The restaurant inside is spacious and decorated in a very simple style. The size of each portion was more than enough for two, and the potato salad with olive oil and a touch of garlic was the best starter I ever tasted.... More

Went for lunch here, to be honest it is pretty average for food, service ok,the menu on paper looks good but the taste of the food fails to deliver for me, better places in Jerez for freshly cooked tapas for me......

After reading reviews we weren't sure what to expect. Found the restaurant easily. Just go through the archway off of the square. Lovely courtyard where there are two other restaurants. Bar Juanito is the last one. We tried rabo de toro and magret of duck. Both delicious. It restored our faith in Spanish food. Lovely meal, lovely house wine, efficient... More

Food was very good, exactly what we expected from what we have read (we found the restaurant on the suggestion on an old lolely planet of southern spain), like everyone says te artichokes are the best plate, but in general we had a really pleasant dinner, with good food, and the price well.....is the best thing about Andalucia the check is... Located in narrow street, you will think twice before turning in to. Though if you wish to taste quite simple but truly Spanish food - this is the place to visit. Dishes are served lightning fast. The staff is very attentive and truly cares for your dinner.
