Fabulous food in a lovely old building in an interesting town. We had the 2016 tasting menu(the other menu on offer was the classic dishes over the years which also looked enticing).Sublime! The chef has been awarded 2 Michelin stars but the standard was easily good enough to rival or exceed many 3 stars we've visited. Of course the dishes were... More

Atrio met our expectations--which were high--and more. Creative, enticing food and very pleasant service and surroundings add up to a wonderful meal. Excellent value too considering for the high quality and the range of top notch ingredients in the meal

A unique gastronomic experience with refined dishes and delicious cuisine in a wonderful contemporary setting placed within the shell of a 15th-century palace. Atrio is truly a two star Michelin restaurant in its presentation, taste, and service. The food was delicious and extremely well executed, the flavours are out of this world. The restaurant is also noted for its amazing... More

Before you sit down at the restaurant they offer you a view of their wine cellar. There will never be one to duplicate it. Ask to see the bottle signed by famous painters and famous people. There are two tasting menus at the restaurant. We ordered the one that featured the chef's famous dishes from times paste. Each dish was... More

We start our diner with the visit to the 35.000+ botles of the vinoteca. That is an impressive collection that is reflected in the wine list, really a masterpiece edition every other year. They had two options, the traditional menu (where you will find the most known creations) and the new menu, the one we picked because it was considered... More

I was visiting Caceres and heard about this 2 star Michelin restaurant. I tend to prefer local peasant food done with love but once in a while, decade even, it's nice to treat yourself and try something different. The contemporary menu did not disappoint. First, other reviewers took issue with the sommelier. Mine was friendly and hit all the right... More

I've had dinner at Atrio with my wife and my 13 years old kid and although expectations were high, from all the comments I had got from friends, I have to say that they were by far exceeded. It's quite an experience and I'm already longing to return. The visit to the cellar is quite interesting and the wine list... More

We started by being shown the wine cellar a modern climate controlled environment with an amazing selection of wines dating back to Napoleonic times. From there we went. To the very tastefully designed and decorated dining room which was surprisingly large. A choice of two tasting menus of which you can choose to only have part if you are not... More

We booked Atrio as the culinary treat of our trip to Extremadura and it lived up to expectation. The tour of the wine cellar before dinner was the icing on the cake as having seen the wine list on line in advance and read about the awards as best in the world it was a delight to have the opportunity...
