For being high season, we found a nice table inside (please book in advance) We have had only mains and a good bottle of Rioja. The portions were generous and well presented. Service very nice and professional. "Sylt" prices as usual but worth a visit

Very traditional kitchen with some nice modern variations. Food was amazing, try thr Ox and had a great selection of wines and a nice cozy atmosphere.

I felt in love from the very beginning with this restaurant. It's not just the cozy and charming atmosphere you can enjoy ....it's the delicious food and the staff which makes this location to one of the best on the island! I'll definetely come back next year !

I dined at the Alte Friesenstube with my parents. A very charming old building and a really lovely cosy ambience inside. We were greeted by rushed staff and that did not change during the meal. We were not that hungry so choose light meals. Food was fine but the service was too rushed which made us feel unwelcomed. Overall not... More

We were brought there by some friends and the restaurant was also highly recommended by a member of our son in-law's family : a great meal ! The menu is written in Platdeutsch, the local idiom, so they wii very kindly translate it for you ! The various dishes we had, mainly fish and seafood, were simply perfect ! Perfectly... More

Fish aplenty; beautiful traditional decor alone is worth the visit. Dunner served in two shifts: either 6 or 8.30pm. Make sure you reserve, as it gets packed, and take along plenty of spare time, since service is extremely slow. We waited almost an hour between starters and mains!

Lovely thatched house with cosy interior, candles, white table cloth and sterling cutlery. Young attentive service who helps to translate the menu as the ''Frisian language'' is not always comprehensible ;-)Baerlauch-Suppe with accompanying german white wine a very nice starter, than we changed to four different meat dishes, all were delicious! The cheese plate was amazing, we did not knew that such...
