We managed to get a table at Alte Friesenstube short before Easter, and had a nice and cosy table near the old tiled stove. The staff was very friendly and courteous, and the food was absolutely delicious! If you're in Westerland for a holiday, I...More

Dating back to 1648, Alte Friesenstube is supposed to be the oldest restaurant around. They serve typical Frisian dishes in a dining room with walls covered by wood and the typical tiles of the area. We had the flounder/lobster and the roasted duck. Both were...More

Per the other reviews, this is a very quaint, cosy restaurant. It was very full, nice atmosphere and very good food. Service was also spot on. Make sure you reserve in advance during holidays.

It was our third visit in the Old Friesenstube in the last two years and again we had an excellent dinner in the heartful atmosphere of one of the oldest restaurants in Westerland. Try the "Friesisch Fischpfanne", it's delicious! And don't miss the wine list...More

For being high season, we found a nice table inside (please book in advance) We have had only mains and a good bottle of Rioja. The portions were generous and well presented. Service very nice and professional. "Sylt" prices as usual but worth a visit
