simple but delicious

Visited recently and we both had set menus. Menu generally was limited, compared to other local eateries, but this isn't a bad thing as it meant they cooked the dishes well. Both had steak (but different cuts) as mains, cooked exactly as we wished. All food was delicious and despite it being... read more

Our third time at the coq hardi and it is also fun. It is not really fine dining that you can get round the corner in le Paris, but by the same token you can get a good meal with wine for 40 euros here. The restaurant is small and quirky, and I love the owner who speaks English with... More

We always come to this restaurant for dinner when we're in Le Touquet as it is very cosy with a lovely atmosphere. Yann, who runs it, works hard all the time and creates the good feel to the place. We always book in advance as it gets very busy. Food is very good.

Four of us eating on a Saturday lunchtime. We all had the €20 menu and what a treat. A huge plate of mussels followed by a marmite de pecheur, then the small matter of four pieces of cheese. My friends all had other items from the menu and it all looked as good as mine. I should warn though that... More

Lunchtime, hungry, restaurant very busy but they found a table for two and we joined the merry throng. This is a popular restaurant with the locals and it is easy to see why. The menu offered good portions of well cooked fish with vegetables and good value wines. It has a good ambience and the staff have a good rapport... More

We had lunch here and chose it because it was off the main drag so looked quieter. We were wrong! It was a popular place with locals, and the tiny interior was full. We sat outside on a nice October day, which was warm enough as there were little walls around the tables to protect against the wind. We had... More

Excellent freshly cooked food in generous portions for a very good price. We had the fish on the set menu but other meals looked good too. Friendly service with lots of returning customers. Decor is tired but otherwise Highly recommended.

We visit this restraurnt most years as it is good value for money, in what can be a over priced expensive town.
