I went to this restaurant with my friends as it was higly recommended by many local people we had met during our trip around Puglia. I was delighted with the service, kind and quick, and really loved the home-made pasta with horse sauce as well as the starters. I wouldn't say the cuisine is outstanding but the prices are reasonable... More

We were expecting a smaller trattoria, but even though they had lots of customers they have managed to serve us well. The quality of the food is 5*. Excellent service. The only problem is the waiting for some dishes, but this is what is expected when you get home made food. Recommended!

We visited this upon recommendation from a friend but were bitterly disappointed. The menu choice was limited , the service and food were lacklustre. I'd opt for nearby Il Castello di Momo.

We tried this place with a couple of friends after some local suggested it to us. Food was ok but not great. Our expectations were not met. We went there to try great home made orecchiette instead we had pasta that did not taste like it. House wine was of poor quality compared to the excellent wines the region has... More

During our family holiday in Salento we visited the Trattoria Iolanda and we really liked it. It's a very solid typical local cuisine, with home made pasta, home made starters (olives, anchovies, fennels, peppers, etc.) and everything we tasted was delicious as in the kitchen our grandma would sit and cook for us. Being Italian, being there with the family... More

Our local friends couldn't praise this place enough - they remember when this was just a small Dinner back in the 70's/80's - now expanded with full Al fresco experience for bigger crowd - beautiful atmosphere, music playing and relatively inland that only locals really come. Dinning experience was just simply awesome. Recommended to eat light for lunch if you... More

Very authentic local cuisine, but also very limited menu. no major complaints but totally average in my opinion. Some portions were very small and one pasta dish was served with barely any sauce -some parts were even white- pretty skimpy! The orrechiette with rape were very good. -a long wait for service. we didn't mind, but could be an issue.... More

Enjoyed our "Tipico" Puglia meal at this low-key restaurant; handmade orichiette di rapa was a highlight of meals we ate in Puglia.

It all started March 3, 1970 when, in the historic center of Lucugnano, was opened Trattoria Iolanda, 3 Km from Tricase. A history tavern in Salento, managed by the family Giaccari that offers home cooking, typical of Puglia and Salento meat with homemade pasta, accompanied by a selection of wines from Puglia.
