Labor Day Weekend, perfect weather, sitting next to the beach...plus, the waitress was really nice, fast, and most importantly, patient with our hungry/tired kids. And the food was great, the chowder was outstanding and the calamari was good, nice and crispy.

Place was a nice lunch spot. Gets busy after 12/1. We got here at 11:30. Very tasty burger and chili with cheese on top. Waitresses were very friendly and quick. The mudslides here are great, lots of alcohol!! Plus the view of the water from the patio is a big plus.

We are on the island again for our annual trip. Since there are so many dining choices available here, I have yet to develop a list of favorites to select from. That means that most every meal could be an adventure with all the good or bad that comes with it. The Beachead presented me with some possibilities as it... More

This a top lunch spot for us when staying in Block Island. Good chowder and tasty sandwiches and salads. The service is decent as well. You can often watch surfers and surf lessons across the street at "Kid Beach". Very relaxing spot.

I liked the atmosphere a lot but the food was so so. It might have been because we were a late dinner seating but I would have loved a little more. The stuffed clams dos rock.

The restaurant is right across from the beach. We were looking for a cool place to eat and air conditioning is hard to find on Block. We asked to sit in a cool spot as we were all overheated from shopping and they put us inside. Despite the ceiling fans - it was not very cool. Better to sit outside... More

We dropped into the Beachead on the way back from the beach. Delicious stuffed clams, chowder, a cold beer and a rum and tonic ~ all served by our sweet, cheerful server Grace! Sit outside to enjoy the view. The perfect ending to a beautiful beach day.

Very pleasant lunch on the porch. 3.5 stars. We both had salads. My husband enjoyed his caesar salad with salmon. Beet salad was good but shrimp just ok. The wait staff was good.

Fantastic menu, great prices, awesome view. Walked straight off the beach across the street for alfresco lunch.

The Beachhead offers dining inside out outside on their patio and deck. The patio and deck is probably the best place to eat. It is right across from the beach and it offers some great views of the ocean and beach. It restaurant does get busy, but the outside seating does not feel cramped when it is busy. The menu... More
