Great service, nice view

Dead Eye Dick's is in New Harbor which is a short bike ride from Old Harbor, but a bit of a walk if you are on foot. We were there for lunch. I had the hot lobster roll with melted butter. The oversized roll was nicely grilled and stuffed with lots of lobster. There was plenty of melted butter... read more

We happened to be there the night of the blue moon last summer. Sitting on the deck gave us the most perfect view of the sunset and the moonrise. And the food is always delicious. Perfectly sized servings and kind staff made the visit another we won't forget.

All the locals raved about this place. The food left much to be desired. I ordered the shrimp and grits and the shrimp was rubbery. The grits were good. Nothing to rave about.

I had heard such great things about this restaurant but was not impressed. The food was mediocre. The service was good. There are so many great places to eat on the island... this was not one of them,

Don't let the name of this place throw you off: it's no beach dive, but a cut above. In the New Harbor area, Dead Eye Dick's hit the bull's-eye the night my wife and I were there, which was after Labor Day. Their Harbor Platter, a raw bar sampler, was excellent, as were their obviously house-made "bread sticks." Yes, my... More

We enjoyed a delicious meal at sunset on the outdoor patio. The activity in New Harbor provided additional sights.

This dive is promoted heavily by the people who run the ferry to Block Island. It must be owned by them. The menu is limited, and really nothing more than a typical burger joint with a catchy name. You can do better. The waitress was friendly, and chatty in a good way--not annoying and talking way too much. The fries... More

Dead Eye Dick's was the best lobster roll that I have ever had. I think that others agree based my observation of entire tables, sometimes of 6 or 8 people, all ordering hot lobster rolls. For fans of hot lobster rolls, this is the place.
