Had table with sunset view near 12 female Realtors, two of which were loud and very annoying. No other tables were available.

It is fun to go to the Narragansett Inn for dinner if the weather is good. There isn't a place on Block Island with a better "feel." It is a traditional inn that has been on the island for 100 years. Old fashioned porch with wrap around porch with amazing sunset views and views of the "harbor." (Great Salt Pond... More

My husband and I had an absolutely perfect evening here. The view and setting are spectacular looking out over New Harbor. There is a large lawn with Adirondack chairs, and wicker table/chairs. There were even lawn games set-up! It is an old fashioned resort from "back in the heyday" and we felt transported. We had a cocktail on the lawn... More

We got to the brunch at 8:40, it supposedly ends at 9. There were no eggs left, no sausage or bacon left, and there were just s couple of dried up pieces of ham left. Someone did finally bring some eggs out, but nothing else. Sitting on the porch is like nothing else, however, really one of a kind views,... More

I guess the good part is the view, because no one can mess that up. This hotel is in awful shape. I will never stay here again as it is filthy. I heard the owners are new, but the other location they run (1661 Inn) is a dump as well. The food was overpriced and not very good. To top... More

We stayed here when we first started coming to Block Island. The shared bathrooms didn't do it for us but its a great place if you sail or motor ove in a boat. Ive had great times at Paynes bar and marina which is right there. I can say without question its a fun place to stay.

The new Narragansett restaurant was very good. We ate in the porch. Two of us had the seafood pasta dish. There were a generous amount of clams, shrimp and scallops.... the sauce was excellent. Others ordered the striper and felt it was too charred.

You can not beat the views from the deck of the Narragansett. While under new management, food was just OK. Service was marginal. Flatbread was made with biscuit dough. Hmmm didn't really work. Wasn't crazy about wine I ordered either. Will try it again because I am certain the new owners can make improvements and the view alone makes everything... More

The Narragansett is under new management. The night we were there a tornado watch was posted and the storm clouds were gorgeous. The hostess immediately shared that, should the storm approach, we would be moved inside to a safe place. Neither the tornado or thunderstorm arrived, but it was a nice location to watch the storm pass while the sun... More

My Family and I go here at least once during our stay for breakfast, it's a short walk from where we keep the boat and great food.
