The worst customer service you will ever receive - front of house is a power hungry diva, made the whole experience very unenjoyable.

Went here for lunch yesterday and it was wonderful. So well looked after by Tom & Lara - thank you. Even the landlord came to say hello which was nice. Food was great - felt really safe. COVID processes are flawless & Christmas decs looked...wonderful. Please book in for a meal - you won’t regret it & the pubs need us more than ever right now!!More
Popped in for a pizza and couple of beers to support them (use it or lose it). Friendly as always, Tom asked if I wanted to order via the app or with him rather than just leaving me to the app. Nice pizza, asked me...if I wanted anything else to go with it twice, excellent IPA.More
Even in these challenging times The Ship provides a warm welcome, quality food/ drink, a cosy and most importantly SAFE environment. Customers and staff safely is put above all other considerations. The addition of a marquee will allow more people to enjoy the hospitality of...The Ship undercover, but bagsy a table in the bar near the fire and a pint of ESB! Please note the car park is shut to allow social distancing and the large marquee. CAMRA pub of the year,More
We called ahead fairly late to check the pub could seat us and the kitchen would be open. Dave the manager was polite and helpful as ever and got us seated as soon as we arrived. We ordered the bacon chop and fish and chips...which were cooked freshly and arrived promptly. It was well presented and excellent quality. I can honestly say they were the best minted peas I’ve ever tasted !! The ale was fresh tasting and great as always (tip - the ESB is particularly good!) Thank you Dave and team 👍More
This is a really nice pub in Wokingham. As a long time drinker at this pub, I think they have handled the Covid-19 restrictions admirably. They have managed the restrictions with a light touch whilst still maintaining safety and also keeping the feel of a...local pub. The pub has excellent food choices and the staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. If you like sports, they show a lot of football and rugby. Be aware that this is a busy pub. Book in advance to be sure of a table. But they will always try to fit you in, if they can.More
Second time this month I have had lunch here and the food is excellent. Staff are very polite and helpful. Well organised regards Covid. Easy to order food and drink at the table. Good selection of beers too. Looking forward to next visit!
Very organised - the manager came out to go through the rules with us before we went to sit down. The problem was that his explanation was so long (and he used the word "sanitized" so many times) that it was confusing and none of...us really understood what had been said. Service is all done at the table and the staff were efficient and friendly. Good job and I'd come here againMore
Thank you for your review. We apologise that you felt confused regarding the covid rules. There is lot to take in and we have taken steps to make it simpler so we can sit you down quicker and enjoy your evening. We are pleased that...More
Came to the ship for the 1st time since it all began in March as I was in the highest risk group and I was extremely nervous. Dave and his team have done an amazing job and have made me feel at ease. They will...do anything for you to make you feel comfortable. Always been an amazing pub but have gone above and beyond since they opened after lockdown.More
