Looks such a lovely pub but inside very bland. Thou the food was good it over priced for the venue. They also forgot to serve the vegetables with one of the meals.

We went there on Friday 17th June 2016 and had a great time. The service was second to none and the food could not be faulted in any way. We asked for two meals that was not on the menu and the Chefs (Andrew & Mae) obliged us with no problem what so ever. Harry and Jake the waiters who... More

The first one was with my husband and we had a very good steak supper. The second was for Sunday lunch with a family party including children. One of the children has SEN and I had asked the chef two days before whether he could produce a meal for the little boy the moment he walked in. They were true... More

I went to this pub as they were advertising an Adele tribute act. As she is one of my most favourite singers I thought I would see if the tribute act was up to standard. The act was outstanding. The atmosphere inside made me feel very welcome into a pub I didn't really know. I enjoyed myself so much I... More

My wife and a friend had lunch here in March and loved it so my wife and I went on Thursday 5th May, My wife had fish and chips and did not enjoy it at all, she left 2/3rds of it. I had the Cumberland sausage ring on mash, the sausage tasted undercooked, like it had been steamed and the... More

Made a visit to the pub at the weekend, Took my mother for lunch. I had beef roast and my mother had the cottage pie from the Specials Board. Meal was very enjoyable and plenty of it and was nice to sit in the beer garden. Would certainly recommend and will be returning.

My family and I regularly attend this pub for its pub quiz on a Thursday evening. The atmosphere is welcoming and the selection of drinks available is also a wide variety. Staff are always happy and greet us when we come in and the quiz itself is a laugh with varied general knowledge questions as well as a picture round.... More

Visited after a long time ,arrived at opening time . The Pub was cold and had not atmosphere. The ice bucket was full of water which was last nights ice. Visted to have an early lunch with the grandchildren. Garden is great to enable the kids to play safely which is good. Lunch was OK however thought the children's meals were quite expensive for what they were especially the childrens fish and chips. Otherwise OK but on the expensive side overall for a bit of lunch

Description
The only pub in the country named The Queen's Oak.400 years old & built on a Roman Ruin.A proper English pub serving wholesome homemade British Quisine and a superb range of beverages including cask conditioned real ales. There are plenty of picturesque walks nearby and just opposite is St Micheals Church. We welcome dogs, horses and well behaved children and have a large, safe garden and play area.An excellent venue for a country style wedding, christening or any celebration. We also have a BBQ & Hog Roast. You may get to see Morris Dancers who frequent the pub in the summer months or come and play an old game of Aunt Sally.
