I'm afraid we had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant on Mother's Day. First the positives. It's a lovely room, with a pretty patio and it's own parking. Very close to the A3. We had booked at 16:00. They weren't able to seat us until 16:30 and our meal took well over two hours with long delays before both... More

Visited this evening for a family meal to celebrate Mother's Day and I now have NO plans to return or recommend that anyone I know does. I arrive at the restaurant on time for the reservation a family member had made. Upon entry I see two members of staff stood near the bar area discussing something which was fine but... More

My fitters for starters were frozen solid in the middle, my mussels were in a pot that was completely burnt in the bottom, both had to go back, I have been sick for 2 days since eating there, the rest of the food was completely bland. I can't believe a restaurant like this is open. The only good thing was... More

Disappointing! Seafood grill staggeringly awful, sauté potatoes were boiled potatoes in seafood broth. Even if the dish was half the price it was disgraceful. Our friends returned their cold chips. Waiter highly disinterested.

Lunch on a Friday with a business colleague. Scott egg starter was very nice but my soft shell crab pakora tasted of nothing except the spicy chillies. Both had standard fish and chips for mains which were of a good size for lunch and not too big. Restaurants often overload with chips but LF didn't which was nice. Table staff... More

Had there dinner and enjoyed it. Choices were descent and price was fair. The food was good and the atmosphere is great.

This is not particularly close to us, but we had a yen for oysters and so we made the journey. Very disappointed therefore that they had run out of oysters at Sunday lunch (and this was not even mentioned until we tried to put out order in).. According to a staff member this often happens on a Sunday.. If so,... More

I really enjoyed the service and food but there was a little too much chilli in the dish with seeds which caused a coughing fit with me and my guest. Also the crab starters suffered from soggy batter. It should have been crisper. Otherwise great.

I've been to a few Loch Fynes and this one in Cobham I would rate as one of the best. Since my last visit they have refurbished and the new décor still retained the feel of a Loch Fyne with pale blue colours and tasteful furniture. We had booked in advance and were seated straight away. Bread was delicious as... More
