Visited the Yorkshire Rose this evening for the first time since it has been under new management. From the time we walked in, we felt 'invisible'. Shown to a table, no menus or drinks offered. Three other tables were filled, who were obviously 'regulars ' and were given drinks and menus immediately . We could not fault the food, the... More

Family took us to The Yorkshire Rose for an evening meal when we first arrived for our holiday from Canada. We ate at a number of restaurants during our time in England and our meal that evening was the BEST! The atmosphere was very nice and the service was superb. Good wine, excellent dishes. Many thanks to the staff and... More

I love sitting in the Garden of this Bar / Restaurant having a nice glass of wine on a summers day, its so quiet and peaceful. The bar area is huge unlike other restaurants in the area and there always seems to be friendly people at the bar. The staff are very pleasant as is the owner Claude, for him,... More

I'd never been here before. I picked this place as a convenient meet up for family visiting the country. It was perfect. The staff were friendly and very welcoming. The food was excellent. I am a veggie and asked for a dish not the menu and they just said yes no problem. A very good once in a too many... More

Multi aged group for Sunday lunch. Was really good. Children's meal very generous portions, meat really good quality. Too full for puddings, but the first two courses were perfect. Don't expect eat as much as you can buffet style, but excellent attentive staff. Will be back.

We visited this restaurant for the first time following reviews read for Sunday lunch. Firstly, there were no disabled parking bays in the car park (one of our party is disabled), I parked over two bays as close to the restaurant as possible, but the manager came out and asked me to move. When we went into the restaurant via... More

Ordered the anti pasta - never has grey prosciutto only to be told it's a speciality - didn't realise off was a speciality. Then proceeded to show me the lump of off meat. Husband ordered veal stuffed with ham hock and sausage only to not see any veal - I thought veal was a dark meat. Dauphinoise was a layer... More

My friends have always gone here and I'd never been. I went for the first time on a Sunday evening and have been back another two occasions within the last week. The staff are friendly, the food is fantastic. There is a high quality of service that is natural to them, not fake. Love it there.

We visited for Sunday lunch today. The food was very good and the puddings particularly special. Staff were friendly and served us quickly, but we didn't feel rushed. We retired to the garden for coffee and to let the children run around. This was a very pleasant family meal.
