The atmosphere was really nice. Arrived at 19:00. We had our two kids. I got the tikka Marsala vegan option and my wife got the beetroot salad vegan option. Both were very tasty. Kids got burgers. All good was great. Staff were great and we got a very friendly, helpful and funny Irish waiter.
Highly recommend this place and area for family.

We went for lunch today with my daughter who suffers with a number of allergies. The menu is extensive and has so many options for all eating habits (with all the items detailing allergens, which makes life so much easier for a family like us). The Vegan options are amazing and they even have a wide variety or vegan desserts, not to mention vegan options for kids too. Naar is also in a very pleasant setting right on the seafront so you have a nice view whilst enjoying your meal. The service is great which makes a change for Malta and the staff are very friendly.
We were served by the manager Linda, a lovely girl who was amazing with my daughter and really helpful when it came to deciding what we wanted. The other members of staff were also very polite and very prompt when it came to clearing the table and bringing our food.
Linda took great care in ensuring the high chair was clean and sanitized for my daughter which I really appreciated, especially in the current circumstances.
I had the bang bang chicken salad and I would highly recommend it. Absolutely delicious. My husband had the Naar burger and thoroughly enjoyed it.
We will definitely be back. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

I had a Piña Colada and the Vegan Nachos, very delicious. I enjoyed it a lot! Especially because of Andrea and Johnny who couldn't do their job better! Very caring and welcoming, with fantastic recommendations about what to eat, always with a smile on their face :) They try their best to make their customers as happy as possible. Naar has a fabulous atmosphere because of them♥️♥️ I hope I can come back one time!!

Love this restaurant- the ambience a, setting and food - when it comes.
We have been to this restaurant three times this week. Twice we have had a bad experience.
The wrong order was taken and the wrong meal served.
This evening, the wrong order was taken and we had to wait ages for the food. Eventually some of the food was served at different times and there was still one dish outstanding. We waited approximately an hour and then when the lasagne was finally served it was cold in the middle and so not cooked properly. We were offered 50’% the bill but they did all they could to prevent this from happening. We still ended up paying more than the Discount- just to get out of there. It was getting later and later. They made us feel like cheap tourists. It was our last night of our holiday and it was such a shame to end it with this awful experience.

As someone who has been to and enjoyed this venue many times before it is with great disappointment to offer this review but don’t believe their online offers
I had heard that naar had changed their menu and so consulted their online webpage
It was advertised new in Sunday happy hour.
We enjoyed starters mains. 3 happy hour cocktails and 2 drinks not on the happy hour menu
However we’re charged full price for each drink
Regardless of explaining to the waiter and the ‘manager’ the situation and showing them their own menu the advertisement

Dear Zoe, We thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry to have disappointed you. As explained on Sunday we do not offer happy hour on Saturday's and Sunday's during the summer months. This is also written in the cocktail menu which was provided to you during your time with us, as well as in the offers section of our website. The photograph shared by yourself is indeed an old offer that we promoted a while ago and should not have been visible, thus If you kindly contact us on info@naarmalta.com we will happily try are resolve this issue.

This place is really amazing, the host at the entrance Abigail is so friendly and helpful. We don’t have a reservation but she find us a table. Food was delicious but a little bit delayed. But Abigail made us understood that there was an event going on So food might be delayed. We didn’t feel ignored because she looked after us with a nice chats and all. Our server was helpful as well I forgot his name… I’ll definitely come back to Naar. Their service is awesome. Xoxo

You can't ask for more, a beautiful location in one of Malta's more popular bays, less than one meter from the sea and with heaters and wind shields for those stormy winter days. The chef is talented, the food was delivered on time and everything was well curated by the staff.
The team clearly care about their restaurant, it's palatable in both the service and the experience. We had a lovely time, sitting by a nice open fire right beside the sea! Our waitstaff, headed up by Alejandra, were friendly and professional, making sure we were comfortably seated, and carefully tended to.
Friendly team, quality service, loved it - thank you NAAR!

We visited last night and it was a lovely atmosphere and perfect amount of food for three people.
We shared the Baked Bufala Mozzarella (pictured) and it was the best tomato/mozzarella starter I personally have ever had. We had two vegetarian/pescatarian with us and the vegan burger wasn’t an option so ended up with a special and a salad which was equally as good. I had a potion of chips and the beef skewers which was flavoursome.
Our waiter, Deeps, was lovely, on the ball and very attentive, cracking a good couple of jokes with us. We said about the vegan/veggie options and he promised us if we come back the next day the options will be there. We are currently waiting to pay for our water, as both mussels and vegan burger is not available and we are now having to go somewhere else.
We told our waiter who wasn’t apologetic at all and now feeling a little deflated as we had such a lovely time and meal last night and were a little ‘fobbed off’ today.

Me and my dad was there for dinner. Crowded, but we got a table. The food came at a reasonable time, but my dad ordered a beer and he had to ask three times before he got it. I waited 10 minutes for my soda. Dad ordered a second beer and it took 10 minutes and he just wanted to leave, so when we asked for the bill the beer arrived. I had to ask two different waiters to pay with a card before they finally came. Food was good, live music was nice, but the service was incredible slow. Not going back.

Yesterday was my sister`s 50th birthday. Her best friend came over from Switzerland and we had a small gathering of 5.
When i called Martin last week at Naar he immediately took charge of the situation. He offered a lovely table where we can see the sun set and asked if we would like the table decorated. When I asked if they had any gluten free cakes he offered 4 varieties (you are usually lucky to have one) which are gluten and lactose free.
We arrived, greeted by Martin, showed to a wonderfully decorated table and told that there are just 20 minutes to happy hour and cockatails arrived.
He was also very patient waiting for the orders as we talking and caught up with each others upates.
Martin made everything perfect. Suggesting starters and mains when we could not decide, takeing photos, and in general everythng a good host usually does.

My friend and I were excited to visit Naar for dinner after an online vegan blog recommended it as a good place for vegan options with a good atmosphere. This was not our experience.
Upon arrival, we were completely ignored and when the staff finally acknowledged us we were greeted with a very unfriendly welcome by the two managers. After we were seated, they forgot to give us a food menu and we had to ask for one. The waiter spilt my friends drink and didn’t even apologise, they also bought her the wrong drink and again, no apology or acknowledgement of the error.
In terms of the food, it was tasty and I have no complaints about the quality but it’s not worth the 20 euros we each paid for a vegan Thai curry and vegan lasagna. I don’t usually mind paying this sort of price in a nice restaurant because the quality of the service/experience accounts for the higher prices. However, in light of the experience we had at Naar, it really isn’t worth it.
Another thing worth mentioning is that the staff were dancing and joking around whilst tables sat in need of service being completely ignored. We regularly had to try and get the waiters attention to receive any sort of service.
The only redeeming quality about the service was just as we were finishing our drinks, ready to leave the restaurant, one of the waiters noticed I was cold (we were sat outside) and gave me a blanket. We didn’t even realise this was an option but turns out nearly every other table had blankets.
Overall, this place is overhyped, not worth the money and the experience we had here really dampened our time in Malta.

Lovely restaurant right on the sea with fantastic views of the church in front and other beautiful buildings, attentive staff, interesting vegan menu and a heated and sheltered terrace. The menu is extensive though when asked for various things on the menu they weren’t available and this was disappointing. Having said that the food is of good quality and the portions are generous. The atmosphere with the sea lashing on the rocks right beneath you is quite unique and when they put on the heater’s right next to you, the contrast between the toasty indoors and the elements outside is quite magical. I’ve been here in summer too and dining on this terrace in the sunshine is quite marvellous.

Last night I enjoyed a vegetarian Black Bean Burger and chips which was really tasty, followed by chocolate ice cream. The staff were lovely- friendly and attentive- and made me feel relaxed while dining alone. Tonight I returned and had vegetable stir-fry Curry followed by chocolate cake. Both were delicious. Again the staff were friendly and welcoming , especially Deeps and his female colleague. The weather was chilly due to high winds; the restaurant had a number of indoor heaters and the atmosphere was lovely, everyone having a good time. This popular restaurant works hard to provide good service and meals.

We had a lovely time on Saturday, staff were very quick, efficient and super friendly.
They made me feel very welcome with my dog and even brought her a bowl of water and had the option of purchasing plain chicken breast for her to eat.
The food, drinks and the ambiance where also super great.
We will definitely be going again next week xD

I got to choose a grate table by the sea with heater and a blanket (the weather was not the best). Not much waiting. Perfect service, even being a solo guest! Two orders from the tapas menu was ok for one person. Exellent food! I had duck spring rolls and prawn tacos. Perfect! Together with a small water and a glass of red wine I payed 36€ (included good tip).
