We are very lucky to have eaten at multiple 1, 2 and 3 star michelin restaurants and this is up there with the best of them. We eat there three times whilst staying at the hilton. They were great with my 7 year old and did not make us feel awkward with a 7 month old in a buggy. The menu is what you would expect from a fish restaurant in a port but the quality of service and cooking was exceptional with very fair pricing. Great place for families and couples.

A wonderful experience, the fish was very fresh.
We started with some tuna carpaccio, grilled octopus and local red prawns.
We then had a sea bass baked in salt cooked to perfection.
This wasn’t our first time and definitely won’t be the last.
Highly recommend.

Portomaso Marina offers a plenty of restaurants on different levels but head to the very water edge (level -5) where the yachts are moored and you will find this charming place with Italian influence offering a variety of seafood and fish along with a fair choice of antipasti and pastas. We liked everything we ordered - the chef really does his best. Wine list is also worth to be mentioned with its wines from all over Europe and to all tastes incl in half bottles. For sure, this is one of the best dining spots in the area.

The food was delicious, had the tasty prawn cakes to start, salt baked sea bass and then the traditional Maltese warm, date filled pastry desert to finish.
The staff were helpful with their suggestions and it was refreshing to hear their knowledge of the items on offer on the menu.
Highlight of the night was watching the staff clean and fillet the fish (sea bass and snapper) in a matter of minutes with not one bone in site when served up!!
Would definitely recommend a visit if you enjoy seafood/fish.

Fantastic Place
Was invited here by a great friend and the level of food and service was so amazing and impressive that same day I came for lunch got my wife over for dinner on same day.
Am a restaurant owner myself and so could fully appreciate the level of presentation and palate in every dish. This place is a perfect fish restaurant, lunch we had an abundance of fish crudo and cooked to perfection.
Evening dinner swapped to a lovely steak the starters and desserts especially fondant were amazing.
I STRONGLY RECOMMEND, all those reading you must come to this place - location is second to none. Well done Cleaven

We have eaten on the marina on our holiday more than once. This was by far the worst.
I found the staff to be unpleasant and actually quite rude. The red wine was COLD and when politely asked if it could not be so chilled a defensive answer came...
Wait times were uncomfortable when ordering drinks and food(Asked 3 times if it would be possible to order our food and asked twice for the bill).
The food was not great either, pasta flavourless.
Throughout our time we had been made to feel quite uncomfortable despite being a high end restaurant one the marina.

Our friends suggested we go here as they've been many times and loved it.
Great ambiance, crockery, cutlery, table linen and very attentive staff. We couldn't decide what to order as such a great menu. We choose seven starters to share between four of us. White bait, royale oysters, cuttlefish, octopus, scallops, fresh prawns & mozzarella. Three of us had steak & one had pasta for mains. Every dish was prepared & cooked to absolute perfection. Their olive oil & balsamic vinegar are of incredible quality. I just couldn't stop dipping the tasty fresh crusty bread in it. It was so good. The staff looked after us really well. Their service was faultless. I couldn't fit dessert (hardly surprising with the amount of bread I had indulged). I did try a small piece of a kannol & a mouthful of lemon cheesecake. Both were delicious. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for & we certainly did! Thank you!!

I suggested this restaurant for a Company dinner with my Managers (20th of October). The service was very professional and attentive. The raw fish and the other antipasti were delicious, the same for the bottles of white wine we ordered. As first course, some of us ordered some paccheri as main course, but the variety of pasta served was not definitely paccheri. One of the main was also portioned as starter, that was annoying my colleague. We would have appreciated being informed about a different kind of past to be served.
The desserts were very good, especially the warm chocolate fondant, even if dessert are overpriced.
The overall experience was pleasant, we appreciated the atmosphere and the beauty around and the food served.

My husband and I went for dinner at this restaurant and were positively blown away by the experience. All food was very good and the waiters were all very professional and helpful. Beautiful ambience and a very vast choice of high quality wines. Bravo!

A smart setting in the stylish Portomaso Marina, but lacked a bit of old Malta charm.
Service was professional but with just a hint of arrogance. Not sure it is really necessary to have an under 50 Euro per head spend 'penalty'.
Food varied from not great to outstanding. Arancini did not really do it for me, pasta was over salted, salt baked fish was superb but the accompanying veg was not and deserts were excellent. So, bit of a mixed bag food wise.
The jury is still out on this one for me.

Service is decent and the location really nice. But portions are tiny and the food is really expensive. Salad is clearly prepackaged and the bread is the type of bread that you find in convenience shops.
We ordered pasta which was tasty, but the portion was tiny for a main.
We asked for the bill and we noticed that one of the waitresses used bowls that were clearly part of the tableware we were served in to feed stray cats INSIDE the restaurant. Worth mentioning is also the fact that the same cats were actually jumping on the tables that were covered with the tablecloth completely undisturbed. After the last visitors left, the waitresses were removing the tableclothes and neatly folding them. An indication that they will be used again the following evening. Unacceptable...

As a Chef and world traveler this has to be my favorite Resteraunt in Malta. The fish is always fresh and the chef inspired dishes are exceptional. The staff and service are spot on and the ambiance is wonderful. Enjoy a great dinner with friends on the gorgeous patio over looking the Marina and beautiful night sky….
Great selection of wines! Please make this your next visit, you won’t be disappointed.

We have eaten here before on a previous trip in the summer months a couple of years ago and we’re looking forward to coming back. It did not disappoint. The restaurant was fairly quiet as it’s winter time but people are really missing out on an absolutely amazing meal. I had the burrata salad, lobster linguine and lemon merengue and all were absolutely delicious and fresh and the service matched the meal. Effortless and my favourite meal of our mini break. Look forward to visiting next time

Very disappointed with this restaurant. Shame because it is situated in a great location.
Me and my friend wanted to sit closer to each other and got told off by an “owner” that we have “changed the whole set up”
As we were not supposed to. The owner of this place has no idea what polite customer service is and doesn’t care about his customers. Completely ruined the atmosphere for our evening.
The waiter was even worse, trying to make a point of what we were not supposed to so. Awful
To sum up, Malta is full of wonderful restaurants with 5* service, so don’t waste your time going there.

This restaurant was recommended to us by a Maltese colleague and I must say that we were really impressed.
Such a nice ambience and quite place, perfectly situated in a heart of St Julian's in Portomaso marina, far away from a noisy traffic and crowd in the area.
We had a business meeting and our clients enjoyed the whole evening.
Starting from fresh Gillardeau oysters, over 3 different wild local fish carpaccio with addition of amazing fresh pasta with local prawns. On top of everything we had a big red snapper done in a sea salt crust for 4 of us which tasted like no other fish that I had in my life..it literally melted in my mouth without even one single bone thanks to professional filleting of the staff.
We already booked to come again next week.
