A decent restaurant in a lovely location in St Julian’s very close to Hilton hotel and Portomasa.
The restaurant offers Indian and Lebanese cuisine. We tried Indian and the food was reasonably good. As vegetarians we ordered a paneer dish and while it was good paneer could have been softer.
The portions are small compared to other places in U.K. and a tad expensive ( like most places in Malta) a naan bread costing nearly 4 euros .
The service was however good and they also offered a complimentary snack. Decor was decent.

The location of this place right at the water's edge of the Portomaso Marina is its biggest selling point. Fortunately the food matched the quality of the location too. We managed to get a table by the window (we did have to move though because we were in the line of the door and the draught) and ordered a good range of dishes which were at a good price. We also enjoyed their lemon spritz cocktail which was very tasty.

Visited this place with my daughter.
We probably made a mistake to order Lebanese food as just going by the name of the place we should have tried out the Indian dishes…
The hummus was okish and the mutabel slightly better. The lamb shoarma (huge portion) was very soggy and served without pita bread nor garlic sauce - it reminded me of a bad goulash …
We will be back to try out their Indian cuisine and will defer final judgement till after our next visit.

So first the pluses - great location with eclectic pseudo indian middle east menu. I really wanted to like this place, but a waiter with " i know better what you want" attitude coupled with a chef who it appeas forgot to order any lamb for a middle eastern menu , turns this place into something of a joke. Maybe a restaurant that advertises itself as " Ethnic Cuisines" should have raised alarn bells .

Hospitality was not great, worst food, out of 10 of us, all of us went out hungry. The buffet had only one vegetarian curry versus 4 for non vegetarians. I would definitely not suggest or recommend this restaurant if any one is looking for authentic Indian food.

Very good location in Portomaso.
Buffet was quite good although the food is very salty - the chef needs to cut back on the salt for sure.
Service was varied - it depended on the individual member of staff really.
Overall - ok but could be so much better.

We booked the buffet for Saturday night and we were not disappointed.
The instructions on the confirmation email made it really easy to find the place and get parked- for free!
The staff were polite and welcoming and sat us outside with a beautiful view of the harbour. The buffet had quite a few vegetarian options and you could go up as many times as you liked- which is a great deal for 15 euros.
There was pakora, bhajis, soup and chicken wings for starter. The mains options were; chicken tandoori, vegetable curry, lamb rogan josh, chicken tikka masala, beef madras, chicken korma, pilau rice and basmati rice.
Only odd thing is that you have to ask for garlic or plain naan and it will be brought to your table. Definitely ask for it, it was so thick and fluffy, it was delicious.
Dessert was baklava, fruit salad and I didn't catch the name of the third but it was an apple and coconut cake and it was great.
I would really recommend this restaurant.

Planned to visit on our first day in Malta. I booked before we arrived and stated that I needed a high chair for my toddler. Myself, husband and toddler (15 months) arrive waiting to be seated, only to be told that the restaurant has a strict policy where under 7 year olds are not allowed in the restaurant and we were turned away!!! The booking stated that we needed a high chair and a toddler will be dining but they said nothing until we arrived. Absolutely ridiculous. Not family friendly at all.

Me and my husband came here for dinner, we were walking round the marina trying to find somewhere to eat and this place caught our eye. We were greeted politely by staff and taken to a table. We were served drinks and got given the menus. My husband had a chicken tikka masala and I had the prawn curry, we both had pilau rice and shared a naan bread and portion of chips. Whilst we waited for our mains we were bought out some complimentary onion bajis as a starter which we thought was a lovely touch. The food came out in perfect timing and honestly was one of the best Indians I have ever had ! Everything was perfect and tasted so authentic and delicious. The portion sizes were perfect aswell however I would suggest to get a naan bread to share as they are huge ! We will definitely be coming back to this place, the staff were lovely and kind, the service was amazing and the food was just perfection. We went for my birthday and it was just the cherry on top enjoying a lovely meal at the marina.

Excellent location and service. I have been here several times throughout the years even before they moved to Portomaso, and unfortunately, it has been getting worse. Let's say that food-wise it has never been the best Indian but due to the amazing location... it was worth it. Now, I feel that the quality has gone down and the portions of the curries keep on getting smaller. It is not worth it anymore.

Booked a table at 9.30, on a Wed night, the first thing we saw was one the waiter lying on the sofa on his mobile :). We were like ok.. lets see this is.. The waiter asked rather surprised if we had a booking, although I booked on the official restaurant website. I asked him if the restaurant is still open as there was no customer inside. He asked a guy behind him "if" they are still open, and me and my friend was shocked. In my mind I wanted to leave already. The restaurant was empty and I wanted to chose a nice table, but the waiter said "no" and escorted us to a table himself. There was no customer, no music, dead silent, with a waiter who was rude and don't know what his doing. I told my friend lets get out of here quick, and that was the best decision we made as Im sure the follow up service and Food would be terrible.
What a disaster of a restaurant, if you can call it a restaurant, a waste of space in my opinion as the restaurant is located in a nice location.
We went next door to Acqua Marine and had a wonderful dinner and service, It was like from being to Hell and then going to Heaven :P
What a total DISASTOR.

We choose this place as we been before.
No social distance, tables placed as before covid19.
Apetiser and platters looks like we buy from supermarket frozen and deep fried.
Main course good but not as good as before.
Wine and drinks came after we finished first course platter.
Sorry this was our last visit.

If you go for Indian food you want flavour, spice, something interesting. It was lacking. Starters felt like they were all the same thing just slightly different filling in the deep fried casing. Mains weren't anything special.
We ate veggie and it just felt like they couldn't do paneer justice.

We found Sharma when we walked past as other reviews may not put it at the top of trip advisor but we found the food amazing. The Tikka Masala was the most flavoursome Indian dish we have ever tried ( even though it was also the hottest even at a medium). Service was great, had some lovely free appetisers and lots of choice on the menu.

The Sharma restaurant has a wonderful menu - a mix of Indian, Arabic and Mediterranean. We chose a mixture of Indian and Arabic, and it was all really delicious. The staff were so friendly and gave good advice on our order (and discouraged us from over-ordering…always a problem with us!)
And of course the view is fabulous, overlooking the marina. Great fun watching the boats mooring up.
I highly recommend this restaurant. We’ll certainly be returning on our next visit to Malta.
