A revamped concept and cozy atmosphere. There were few people there on a Friday night. Eating pita bread with spiced butter for starters, which was totally within. Then got an entrecôte with fries and vegetables. I ordered the steak medium, but it was well done. Next to it were fries, béarné sauce and vegetables boiled to death which had been a quick trip in the frying pan. Tasted okay. Generally very kind prices for both food and drink.

We were 4 friends at Gjøvik weekend. Thought I'd try some Turkish food.
Good and pleasant service. All four chose different Turkish dishes.
Very good food. Can be recommended, we will be happy to return 👏

Welcoming staff in this cosy restaurant in the heart of of Gjøvik. A variety of meals to choose from. I had a tasty Saray pizza.

Super cozy place with lovely food. Visited it on Ascension Day and sat outside in the nice weather. Clean and tidy outdoor seating, fast and pleasant service. Ordered chicken roll and BLT sandwich; the flatbread around the kebab and the samdwich bread were homemade and the dressing was lovely. Crispy fries and good aioli. Reasonable prices and very good selection on the menu. Recommended!

I ordered American BBC steak. I asked for medium but i got a dry steak. Second time it was raw and soaked in bbc sauce. Third time the meat was better but the fries were dry and tasteless. I got a free drink as a compensation. But this is not a place i would recommend.

Me and my boyfriend have just about tasted all the "Kebab in pita" in town that there is to find. Every single one at the same price, but not one that can compare to the deliciousness and quality of the one at Saray. The meat was incredibly soft, the taste was simply perfect, and let's not start with the fresh, homemade pita bread it came in. Sauce was the right amount of mild/spicy blend, and the portion you get at JUST 109 kroner (10€) is damn respectable! Service was very good, and we made sure they knew that they serve the best kebab!! I would've ordered dessert as well but my belly was quite happy and full with a good and satisfying dinner!

The menu is only in Norwegian and includes many Turkish dishes, e.g. kabobs and many lamb dishes. Alternatively, you can order salad, steak and the usual Norwegian fish (i.e. salmon and cod) dishes.
