Yes, I’m not Danish. But this coffee shop appeals to everyone. Great coffee. Great service. Great people. Definitely the best coffee in Vejle whether you sit inside or outside and watch the people go by. Try it.

We've visited a couple of times and have always had great service. The latte is good, they have several different kinds of hot chocolate made with real chocolate! Another nice thing isbthat they have board games.

If you need a break and a coffee, choose Kaffebaren instead of the larger mainstream chains. This place is so cozy, with a nice and warm atmosphere. I have been here more than one time, and I will come back as they serve a perfect...cappuccino and a very tasty latte. You can also get cookies, bread with cheese and small sandwiches. There's seating inside as well as outside, where you can choose to sit at the back side with more peace, or right next to the pedestrian street where you can observe the city life.More

A friend and I needed a quick cup of coffee, since we.had 20 minutes to spare. The lady took our order and also took the order of a couple other people behind us as well. She apparently prepared all the orders at the same time,...which meant that 20 minutes later we had to give up. She had just finished, so she dumped the coffees into a couple of paper cups and we were able to take it with us. Conclusion: it was nice she was flexible and we got our coffee. But the coffee was just okay, and the long wait was really unnecessary.More

I lived near Vejle for a year, and once I found KaffeBaren, I often stopped in whenever I was in town on errands. The coffee is great--I usually got a latte, but tried some of their seasonal drinks as well. There wasn't much for food...that I remember, except some rolls and bread with cheese, and few pastries. They had cocoa too, so a kid friendly option for well behaved children. (It's very small and cozy inside, so no room for rowdiness...) There are tables outside, and inside in the front and rear of the shop. I brought friends along a few times as well, and the atmosphere was nice for a relaxing chat. The barista was really kind and friendly, and a large part of why I loved this place. I always tried to order in Danish, and she always responded patiently in Danish, even though it was obvious my Danish was horrible and for her would have been easier to just respond in English. Just that simple thing helped me feel accepted and a little more at home. If you are in a hurry and they are really busy, be aware there are usually only, at most, two people behind the bar. It's definitely worth the wait though.More
