We stumbled upon this hidden gem by pure chance. It was a bank holiday and the place was packed with locals. Given how full the place was,we decided to wait 30 minutes as we had no reservation. The portions are very generous, the quality of all dishes,Starters, main courses and (this is rare) ,the children menu was outstanding. The presentation is... More

Last saturday we had dinner (with reservation) at this restaurant. The first thing we heard was that there was no place that evening without listening our (in French) 'on a reservé'). In an empty retaurant they gave us the very last table in the back of the restaurant. Dinner was poor, very simple, no vegetables (but potatoes), without creativity and... More

I actually still think about the steak I had here and can't wait to go back. Order the Pate Negra, have a decent bottle of red with it and enjoy excellent service, solid cooking and delicious flavours. It has a local feel to it, it's laid back and looks a nice place to bring the family. Prices are reasonable but... More

We stayed for one night in a near by hotel. This was the only restaurant still serving at 21:00, monday evening. Table for three, nice entrecote and a good bordeaux from Graves. Some cheese and dessert. Really enjoyed my meal and evening here. On the counter is a large saving pig for tips. I made a mistake (me dutch) by... More

Had to queue for a table before the restaurant opened - lots of reserved tables so we had high hopes. Inside, the restaurant is just a corridor and rather squidgy. The menu was totally in French and the waiters had little to no English but seemed to enjoy our efforts at basic French which got us through ok. Drinks came... More

If you want to see real local people enjoying real regional food in a busy local restaurant this is the place for you. Not for vegetarians and romantic quiet diners although I did see a few holding hands. A bit crowded and the tables close together but that was part of the fun. Not for people with mobility issues as... More

it is an old, family owned, lovely restaurant mostly serving on meat meals. The atmosphere is quite nice. They have wood heated oven I guess which makes meal delicious. The personal is quite helpful and smiley. If you cannot speak French like me you'll be also smiley cause they can't speak in English but it doesn't matter at all. You... More

Do not go here if you are a vegetarian or you’d be disappointed. This restaurant is all about Meat – All VERY good. No Fries available but plenty of other good side dishes. The service was friendly, The food very good and it didn’t kill the wallet. A nice place to visit.

Coming back from a holiday in the south of France, we've randomly picked a city from the map and went there for lunch. On a great square we've found Pierre Bonaventure and enjoyed every minute. It was warm, hectic, sometime a bit chaotic, but the food was delicious. My wife and I had the steak tartare and the children a... More
