We recently ate at the Druid as we were staying in a lovely Band B a few minutes walk away. We were made very welcome by the Staff and it had a friendly and inviting atmosphere. Good local Brew, nice wines and surprisingly sophisticated food in the Bar---Free range chicken, chorizo and chickpea stew delicious.

I booked Druids inn for a family meal to celebrate my birthday. I had to pre-order food and pay a £5 deposit each, which I thought was reasonable seeing as we were a party of 14. We were given our own room downstairs and the service was great. One of our party got lost trying to find the pub and... More

Signposted well from the road, the pub is a walker's favourite. Don't miss the car park just past the building. A good range of cask beer, including session beers for a lunchtime pint. We were stopping for a late ish lunch, about 2pm on a drive around Derbyshire. Unfortunately the chef was too busy to cook for us and the... More

Quick lunch break mid birthday walk. Food was excellent (falafel wrap and steak sandwich). Well cooked. Served with fresh salad leaves, chunky perfectly cooked chips and what is either a home made coleslaw or a very good commercial one. (My money's on the former. ). Staff friendly. Price v reasonable. And am reliably informed that the award winning beer was... More

beautiful home made food. We went on Bank holiday Sunday evening for dinner & it was brill. The only quibble I have is that the menu is written up on a blackboard & is a little tricky to read. There is a wide selection of drinks available and is dog friendly. Would definitely recommend.

A great menu, with some really interesting points, well cooked. Good beers (Camra pub). Friendly staff. Great location too.

bar staff are very welcoming and friendly and the menu looks very interesting...........but The "kids meals under 13" left both my boys hungry. Nice food but too little of it. We also had a sandwich - very nice and Ok value, I had chicken and stew. The flavour was excellent but there was such a small amount I would have... More

Unless meal is booked in advance, the kitchen appears incapable of allowing dinners free choice off menu. We were flat refused a look at dessert menu. It's like the front of house have a great of the chef. By the way, the food that was served was not that great either. Two meals returned for being uncooked. I won't be... More

Just had a really nice meal at the Druid Inn, good choice of food, I had starter & main, both dishes were excellent. The service we received from the young waitress was also excellent(much better than last time we visited) unfortunately the big let down was the 'sticky table'! All the tables were set for meals, but the table could... More
