We ate at this venue whilst stay at a nearby campsite and were amazed by the quality of the food. The restaurant is split over two main areas, upstairs in the original inn near the bar or downstairs in a purpose built dining area. We went here as a group of four adults and two tired and slightly cranky children... More

Don't be put off by the exterior, the beer is great and the food excellent. Ate here for 2 nights whilst camping nearby with family. Could not fault the beer, the food or the staff, we all thought that everything was great and was good value.

Been to this pub a couple of times the menu is not very clear and not easy to read and doesn't seem to change since our last visit a yr. ago but found it really annoying that a dog is allowed to wander around the pub under the tables were you are sat eating and barking . the toilets are... More

Quite a lot of the food was burnt mainly the children's meals. Wouldn't go as a family here my kids are well behaved and sit and watch movies on their phones to be told quite rudely by the landlord to turn them down okay for the party of OAP's to make as much noise as they want though. Don't particularly... More

Two fish and chips meals at £12 each ordered. Excellent battered fish let down by stingy portions of chips, tartar sauce and a pickled gherkin. No bread and butter so left hungry. Blackboard menu hard to read.

After staying at the beautiful campsite at the top of Birchover, my partner and I decided to take the trip down to The Druid Inn after hearing some great reviews about it. We were seated in the corner of the bar area (as we hadn't booked - which was fair enough). I told the old-ish lady behind the bar that... More

We went to the Druid in May during a weekend away for my Dads 70th. When we arrived, at 7:15pm, we noticed that there was a menu which finished at 7pm. When we came to order our food, my wife asked if she could order from the pre 7pm menu. She was told she could not, which was fair enough.... More

Having given up working Fridays hubby & I spend our days walking & enjoying pub lunches. We came to this pub a year ago & had a lovely meal so decided to add it to our Friday list. The weather was against us so we decided against the walk but decided to make the 25min drive to eat at the... More
