Ate here on 4 evenings during our stay in Birchover. Enjoyed all our meals. The steak was superbly cooked ! All meals are cooked to order so not always quick to arrive at the table. Bar staff very welcoming. A dog friendly pub. Can be busy at weekends so need to book. Would definitely eat here again!

First impression when walking in was do we stay? problem was everywhere else was packed, this one wasn't, we wondered why, soon found out. All it needed was sawdust on the floor, no table menus, everything was written in chalk on the walls, ordered our food, it arrived over cooked in parts and cold in others, we were too hungry... we had been here before a long time ago and knew the food was expensive but did not remember the place looking so run down and dirty. We were about to turn around and leave but the staff were very nice, friendly and helpful, however, although we took a dog with us I was surprised to find a very old... More

We'd booked here after checking out the place online first. We were camping nearby and this was our treat before returning home. As mentioned in other reviews the food is expensive and if we were paying ourselves (gifted by friend) perhaps we wouldn't of chose here. I had the cod and was very pleased with the portion. It was plenty... More

I booked a table for 7 people and 2 dogs. It was on a Friday lunchtime in the school holidays so was quiet, but the waitress did say it would get busy in the evening. The food was excellent, a great mix of pub grub with some more fancier meals mixed in. I had the brilliant pork and apple ciabatta... More

A poor service, crowded seating shared with several dogs, noisy evening. Afraid we left as no-one came to take an order or help with the menu. Not as I remembered from the last time.

Excellent meal at The Druid Inn last night. Food expertly cooked and well presented. The staff worked hard too ensure all 19 members of the party were looked after. The meal was accompanied by some very good live music. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Nice country pub doing good home cooked food, interesting and different without getting carried away with fads and fashions. Very good beer, cosy with real fires and friendly welcoming staff, what's not to like?

We have stopped for lunch here a couple of times on our way home from the Peak District, the food is lovely and the staff are friendly and welcoming, the pub is dog friendly and allows dogs inside, we sat outside on our latest visit as one of our dogs is very nervous and doesn't enjoy being around a lot...
