Visited The Plough again and had an excellent Sunday lunch and some great real ales. This pub is an old fashioned bar from the past totally unspoilt, huge open fireplace and must be in some guidebooks as there are often Americans and other vistors. Lamb and beef was available this Sunday and was first class. A renowned real ale and... More

Really appreciated the friendly staff who we chatted to before we set off on our walk from Monknash then the delicious food we had 9 miles later! Great for us that the bar was dog friendly too, look forward to coming back soon.

Arrived early Saturday afternoon with my husband and two children. We were greeted with a very friendly welcome. The pub felt so cozy with a real fire. Our food was delicious!! My sons wanted a baguette and chips and the kind lady suggested them sharing a baguette as they are large (she was right). The chicken curry was delicious. Jam... More

Welsh faggots, mash and peas super tasty. Leek and cheese sausages a winner too. Food came out quickly with a smile. Plenty of ciders to choose from and a great beer garden out the front. Short 25-30mins walk from the beach. Will be great to come back in the spring.

Bar (not the Restaurant which was closed at the time we visited): Open fire, low beams, real draft Beers & Cider, and a simple, but wholesome meal menu, full of locally sourced produce. Steak & Ale Pie was so good that it was off the menu due to over demand, but 3 of our party of 7 really enjoyed the... More

Good food, good company and a bottle of wine -what more could you ask for? Well, there's the beautiful Glamorgan Heritage coast, attentive staff and a roaring fire.

This is a good old fashioned country pub, laid back and with no pretensions, and a lovely wood fire burning in both bars. Sunday lunch was absolutely standard pub fare (meat was OK, veg were good, lots of thick gravy), but my wife's steak pie was better. Pleasant staff too.
