Our group of two adults and two teenagers ate at La Commanderie. By choice we sat outside. The location is impressive, but the food elicited varied responses from our group. Two diners were impressed the other two felt that their meals were ordinary. Service was adequate, but lacked presence.

We've passed this place many times during visits to the area but this was our first meal here. It has an impressive location near some fountains and a waterlily pond, however it's also in sight of the road. We sat outdoors and explained to the manager that we don't eat meat. He checked that we ate fish (we do) and... More

Oh dear. How disappointing We have driven past this restaurant several times and only today did we venture inside. It's an impressive castle like building with two large pools in front which I think in the summer have fountains. The menu gave no clues about quality of food.... But then what restaurant does? The maitre d' was a bit 'po... More

We recently called in for coffee, after a visit to the Latour-Marliac gardens, on a miserable and wet afternoon. The cafe/bar is in a wonderful building and we would have loved to sit outside beside the fountains, but we were wet enough already! The bar is small but the initial impression was that it was welcoming, warm and cosy. The... More

This restaurant in a truly historic setting is WELL worth visiting. It is a great venue, on the main road in Le Temple and offers great food at incredible prices and great service. We had the plat du jour which was juicy and tender chicken in a creamy sauce with vegetables, a glass of wine, and coffee for under Euro... More

Awful! Was kept waiting at lunch time for nearly an hour before the waitress took our order- no apologies either. Staff seemed more interested in the large group eating in the restaurant than any other customers. When meal arrived it was terrible, prawn and scallop brochette was practically raw, and drenched in a sickly sweet orange syrup which may have... More
