Very nice restaurant in the heart of provincial Eastern Serbia. It has beautiful view of Danube River that is 7 km wide at that point. Just a few miles away can be seen from the restaurant beautiful Golubac castle, built in mid-14th century. This is a real gem of medieval architecture. Service at the restaurant was very professional and punctual. They have a wide selection of traditional Serbian dishes, as well as several local fish dishes. I recommend fish soup; it is very good. Those who do not mind bony fish, carp is real delicacy. My family had that. I ate traditional Karadjordjeva schnitzel. It was very tasty, done just right. Local kajmak (dairy type of spread) which was used as the filling along with some ham was really outstanding. They have some good sweets too. While the place is not cheap, the quality of the food, service and location are well worth the price.

We were a company of five visiting the area.
It was recommended by our experienced guide.
First dishes were great - salads, potato salad, cheeses and chicken liver.
The main courses were excellent- fillet steak and fish.
Perfect atmosphere on the Danube river and first class service.
Highly recommended!

Excellent food pork veal and lamb meat with seasonal vegetable salads and lokal east serbian cheeses. Please try baked and grilled miroch cheese. Service is perfect and you can enjoy the view of the river Danube.

Zlatna Ribica is a restaurant located in Golubac, a little town in the surroundings of Djerdap National Park, in the border between Serbia and Romania. Golubac is located on the Serbian River Bank of Danube. We came here to have dinner and I ate a Dalmatian salad, a grilled fish and a homemade cake, which were ok, not more. Also we drank a house white wine, which is correct. We expected more quality, but we were not lucky this day.

Just across from the fish market, my husband and I lucked out and grabbed the last table for lunch. We had the fried, mixed fish platter for two which contained small shrimp, calamari, a small red fish and a small white fish. All were hot and delicious. We also had Croatian beer on tap which was good. Service was not rushed but so many people were standing outside the door that if you were just sitting, the waitress asked you to please free up the table. We realized the drill and left after a totally satisfying meal.

Visited this restaurant in early Feb 2023 on a tour to Golubac. Service was friendly and efficient. Zlatna Ribica restaurant which was a bit upmarket but had a very nice meal and at a very good price (about $50 aud including tip for 2 people).
Lunch was: Chicken Pate with toasted bread, Fried Cheese, Grilled Haloumi ie Squeaky Cheese, Lamb Soup, Chicken with cheese wrapped in bacon and potato wedges and freshly baked bread.

The served Cordon Blue "Karadjnordjeva" was phenomenal, made from tender pork. Best ever! The breaded peppers went perfectly with it. The service is very friendly and quick. There is a terrace. If you like, you can also eat aged Angus.

The food in this place is amazingly good.
They have an excellent selection of local cheeses.
For an appetizer, I recommend grilled cheese and mushrooms stuffed with cheese and cream.
As a main course, we took a smoked pork leg topped with cheese.

Not bad restaurant on Danube bank. Great location, but service and food should be much better. High prices, but taste of fish isn't great.
Marinade for fish is only water and garlic, no oil at all. Lack of seasoning for all food.
I hope that they will upgrade cook's skill.

We dined at this establishment in early October. Excellent meat dishes, magnificent delicate dessert. Great service. There were very few visitors in the evening. We ordered 4 different meat dishes, two salads and dessert (I don’t remember the name). I recommend visiting this establishment. Rating - excellent!

Nice place and nice location but pricey. We ordered fish fillets for dinner but unfortunately it tasted rancid, potato salad was semi-cooked Overall, it’s disappointing.

On a sunny day with zero wind, they're not serving food at the terrace overlooking the Danube.
Rather, they've placed a few days in advance reserved party of four next to the utility desk and stray dogs near the entrance.
Of course, we walked away, the city ain't that far.

We ate at the restaurant after visiting Golubac fortress. Service was quick, kind and very professional. Food was tasty, and reasonably priced. We would choose this restaurant again.
