We recently moved on the Island and based on other experiences on the Island, thought we would have to go to Charleston or Mount Pleasant for good sushi. We were WRONG!! Thus, the apology. Your sushi is AMAZING!! No more driving for us when you...are in the neighborhood. If not for Covid, we would have never found you. Thanks CovidMore
My family stopped in here for lunch and were pleased we did. We had a variety of dishes and all were good. The only minor disappointment was the green tea, which was very "earthy"
This won't stop us from coming back.
We had our first visit tonight and we will be back. The service was warm and prompt. We had edamame gyoza and teriyaki chicken and chicken and shrimp hibachi. The entries and veggies were delicious. Half price wine bc it’s Saturday.
Very casual. Large portions....Community based.More
This is the place to go when you are in Charleston. They have a happy hour that offers some of the best of items on the menu at beyond reasonable prices. If the weather permits sit outside on the patio and enjoy the beautiful pond....Opt to sit in the bar area because the happy hour is only available in the bar and on the patio. Try the Tuna Maki!More
I am a big fan of Japanese cuisine, and I have no complaints about the food. I found the service very slow (even by South Carolina standards). Eating by myself should not be a 90 minute process, especially for the business traveler. If you have...lots of time to spare, then you will not have any issues with this place. If you are expecting the usual flow of food and service, you will be frustrated. I do t know if it was the kitchen or wait-staff, but other people around me with children were complaining about how slow things were coming out.More
The waitress basically insulted our table indicating that we didn't need to order any food (insinuating we were gluttons). In addition, the sushi is not up to par from sushi I've had outside of the Charleston area.
There are limited places to eat on Daniel Island. Basically one restaurant for every ethic food. So if you want Japanese this is the one for you. Food good, place clean, service good. I had teriyaki chicken dish that was tender chicken but like a...lot of place the meat had not been the actual sauce but poured over while cooking.More
