The Bull Inn, Wimborne St Giles, has been transformed from what was a very tired looking village pub near the Cranborne chase in to what is now a comfortable, light, yet firmly rural destination. The menu offers delicious modern British cooking at its best, prepared by our Chef, Ian Craddock. From dishes such as home cooked venison pies to salt baked Bream, there is something for everyone using local ingredients in the daily changing menu. The wine list offers an array of wines by the glass, along with a changing bin end list offering superb value Chateaux & Domaines from France. We have three real ale pumps on hand to quench the thirst, with ales from local brewers.

Looking forward to visiting The Bull the other day - drove up and it looks derelict. No sign of life - garden overgrown - no cars. Has it closed?

This covers two visits, the first late February. With London friend turned up after 12 noon and we were the only customers though later quite a few more, apparently regulars, turned up. My friend had "Arnold Bennett" omelette and pronounced it the best she has ever had. I had cassoulet with duck leg which was excellent - reminiscent of one... More

We stayed here just for the night a couple of weeks ago. We booked last minute and forgot to say my daughter was vegan. A suitable lunch choice was immediately sorted and special bread baked for breakfast. Amazing.

Such a shame - turned up at the bar - waited 3 minutes to get served - bar staff chatting to locals and more interested in them than new customers so we left in disgust - used to go here often but never again - what a shame - hope they will be shut down in less than 3 months!

My wife and I had a wonderful meal at The Bull a couple of weeks ago. I am so pleased that the Bull is looking very good again now as we used to use it quite a lot 20 odd years ago. The meal we had was absolutely delicious, I had the cured Mackerel to start which was fantastic as... More

This was our second visit to this restaurant in just over 3 months and it was as good as the first. Wonderful food in charming surroundings and top service. If you are in East Dorset and want something special you should try this restaurant. Top trained chef, great menus. We will be back

We went to the restaurant today for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent and well presented. Three of our party of four wanted a slight change to their main courses and the manager came out and made sure that we were happy with the changes. The atmosphere was lively and the decor comfortable and trendy. We will... More

We went here with five adults two small lively children. We were first guests there so service was good and a lot of tolerance for our rather naughty grandchildren. Kids food came first, very thoughtful. While we were waiting for mains they served bread and a delicious small cup of leak and potato soup. The cod off the fixed price... More
