About
Michelin-starred Restaurant. 4 AA Rosette Restaurant. AA 5 Star Rooms. "This is an extraordinary place, a true one-off. Unbeatable."- Alastair Sawday's. The Black Swan is dynamic with a truly creative and innovative team developing new ideas from a constantly refreshed palate of produce which we grow and forage ourselves. Guests experience something unique - an intimate reflection of our character, our place and our lives which is in essence "Oldstead Now". Stylishly grounded in tradition and culture yet cut through with a modern earthy, exuberant creativity and the occasional glimpse of eccentricity.

This is a very late review as visited and stayed at The Black Swan last year. It is an incredible experience which doesn't come cheap. I loved the rooms in the converted barns in the grounds where we stayed. Beautifully decorated, deep baths, lovely toiletries...More

We’ve been here a few times and it never disappoints, just gets better and better. We had a tricky group with a Pescatarian, one mollusc allergy and a gluten and cow’s milk free diet. All notified in advance with the smoothest service and fuss free...More

Arrived at the Black Swan on a rainy Friday evening for a one night stay with tasting menu. Got off to a slightly worrying start when despite being asked and confirming twice that one of us had a shellfish allergy, there was no record of...More

I didn't have any problems with the Tock system at all, but maybe it is a problem once they are full, the booking open six months in advance so every month they open booking for six months hence, hope this helps!
