Asked for 2 flat whites, got two mugs of basically hot milk with chocolate sprinkled on top. The backpacker manning the machine said "yay, managed a bit of froth on top". Totally undrinkable and left. Whoever runs this place needs to train staff.More

Coffee was bad! Maybe try a new blend? The food was very slow and underwhelming. The scones were over reheated so we’re hard. The avocado was unseasoned and bland on cold (toasted?) bread. The meals came out 30 minutes apart and we were the only...More

5-8 dollars for a standard icecream like those from Peters. Good scenery though. We also had a double espresso, pricy (and not that good if you compare to the price). I´m afraid the place has a long way to go to even get close to...More

Seal Bay Cafe is conveniently located in the middle of the Kangaroo Island tourist route on the South Coast Road, opposite the turn-off to the world famous Seal Bay Conservation Park. Come visit us and our history; our quaint and historical cottage was Kangaroo Island's first Post Office, built in 1878 however it has now been converted to the cafes kitchen. Seal Bay Cottages offers a wholesome menu with lots of the dishes made in house, have you tried our crumpets yet?! We use local Kangaroo Island ingredients where possible and take great pleasure in making a great cup of coffee On warm days, guests can enjoy a peaceful outdoor eating experience, overlooking a rolling green lawn, and 35 acres of farmlands, native gums, and sometimes even a koala or two. In winter, the inside of the cafe is cosy with a warm fire and hot chocolates. Stay for a few minutes or a few hours and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, delicious food, historic setting, barista style coffee & pots of tea.
