Mugaritz is in a beautiful country setting outside San Sebastian. The staff was attentive and friendly. They immediately brought us into the kitchen where they talked about all of the research that goes into creating each season's menu. Each course had names like, "what we...More

Where to start describing this amazing restaurant! It was way more that just a dinner it was an experience of a lifetime. Food is only one part of the equation! It was like seeing a theatrical play! The food of course was amazing! The 22...More

Wow, just wow! We dined on 26 courses meticulously crafted to feature the incredible creations by their chef, Andoni Luiz Aduriz. It seemed like every course was even better than the last. The drink pairings were so on point, that I found myself wishing to...More

I’ve eaten in a lot of Michelin starred restaurants and Mugaritz does not disappoint. Ignore the reviews, you go here for an experience. It’s not about a 5 course traditional meal it’s about the simplicity of the dishes here letting the ingredients do the talking....More

Mugaritz had for a long time been on my list of restaurants to get to. When we got there, I was excited and looking forward to a good experience, even though I had heard mixed reviews of late. While the restaurant felt warm and inviting,...More

Dishes range from sublime and innovative to Frankenstein-like failed experiments. To give you an idea: The lamb-marrow wafer alongside lamb tartare is a success; the "communion wafer" of bland frozen fish (really!) is beyond redemption. I saw a woman at another table take one nibble...More

I returned to Mugaritz this weekend with 3 friends. I feel terrible as we went on my personal recommendation as I had visited in 2013 (when it was 3rd in the world and had an entirely different experience). I would also like to note that...More

Mine was €220 per person without drinks for the 25 plate tasting dinner and the only easy way to get there was by taxi which cost about €25 each way

Yes, there is. I visited it in October of 2016 and the wine pairing was either 120 or 140 euros per person, I can't really remember.
