The pub is a lovely setting and very family friendly! Then you have the food.... all handmade and extremely delicious! I have food intolerances and the staff went out their way to cater for my needs! The meal itself was well present, excellent portions and I could have eaten it over and over! It is a quaint pub with a... More

We called in here for Saturday lunch and were met with a lovely welcome, even our beagle was treated to a fuss, I had the biggest roast beef on French stick sandwich which under protest I valiantly supplemented with the little un's uneaten chicken nuggets and chips, The better half stuck to her ham and cheese panini. After this little... More

Nine of us ate here yesterday for Sunday lunch as we were staying close by at the Rutland camping site. Friendly welcome, great value meal. We opted for 2 courses for £13.95 and most of us went for the roast. A very good value children's roast at £5.95, though the kids did 'upgrade' to adult sized puddings! Would highly recommend... There were 6 of us, out for a days walking; dropped in at The Plough. Greetham isnt a busy village, so they did extremely well to cater for us, and provide a lovely lunch of the menu. Great food, well presented, at competitive prices. Very friendly staff. Highly recommended

Pleasant enough local pub just off the well known Viking Way footpath, that opens on Mondays linch-times. Good selection of starters mains and desserts. Service very friendly and obliging. If the weather was beeter there is plenty of room outside and ample parking spaces

Tried the Plough today. We found it a good traditional village pub that has a good atmosphere. The Sunday lunch menu was well varied and comprehensive, something to please everybody. I had roast pork and my wife had the sea bass. Both came well cooked and presented. The portions were generous. The choice of beers on offer was fairly good... More

Pleasantly surprised by a very nice lunch on my first visit here. Good beer and reassuringly long wait for food was prewarned (30 mins for the lamb), so we were happy to wait. Worthwhile, very nice, two courses for £18 is reasonable value. Would go again.

We went here 2 nights on the trott for food. They have specials every night which are excellent value. The pub is very small so it's touch and go if you get a seat but you can make a reservation. The waitresses are very friendly and can't do enough for you. The food is no nonsense, well cooked, tasty and... More

Had a lovely meal. The food was hot and tasty. It is dog friendly too and within walking distance of the camp site we were staying on. Would go again.
