Absolutely excellent. Large family gathering (circa 40) on a Saturday night - food superb and service great. We all had 3 courses - food served quickly, plates very full and quality of food- really high. Very impressive Thank you.

Made very welcome both by the barman and the regulars when we say it the bar for a pre dinner drink. Menus brought through from the restaurant, because they knew we were there, giving plenty of time to make our selection. The Combo starter was excellent and the main course very good with a good sized portion that left room... More

We visited this for Sunday lunch and were so impressed with the food and service - we had our 1 year old daughter with us and the staff were so accommodating with her too. We will be back very soon.

We called on the Thursday to book a table for the Friday evening and were welcomed by Frank and Jan warmly. We arrived and were shown to our table by a young lady who smiled and chatted, something you don't often get nowadays. The menu was good and we ordered the soup, 6oz Sirloin Steak and the Roast. Everything was... More

Average is a perhaps a little harsh and I'd be happy to rate it as Good [if the option was available], but sadly there were a number of aspects that make me round this down rather than up. For the most part the food was fine and in particular the soup was made with a good stock. The chicken curry... More

A lucky find for us, needed a warming lunch and some cheery words on a miserable day. The owners welcomed us and made us comfortable, We thoroughly enjoyed the home-made soup and sandwiches. The friendly chat cheered us greatly, most welcome as we made our way home.

A couple of Sundays ago, we were invited along with a small group of close friends to celebrate the 90th Birthday of a lovely lady. The venue chosen was in a village ,let alone a restaurant, which, to be honest,we had never heard of, but what an absolute delight it was to be there. 'The Last Shift' is in area... More
