Wat vroeger een leuke lokale bistro-bar was, is nu helaas veranderd in een toeristenbistrootje zonder veel meer. De Franse charme is er af, de menukaart op veilig (pasta's, pizza, ...) Helaas moeten we er een ander eentje zoeken in de omgeving Used to be an typicla local bistro-bar. This year it 's changed of owner en it feels like a... More

Fabulous food! The mussels and the pizzas are a must! Generous desserts as well! We ate here two consecutive nights.

We ate here several times over our stay in Balazuc and each time the staff were polite and helpful, tolerating our attempts at French. The menu covers a good range of basic food and local speciality dishes at fair prices. We are both vegetarian and could find a few meals on the menu that we were able to have. It's... More

Hope you enjoy the place as much as we did. It's one of the original places in the city, even open the whole year (f.e. eastern, ...)!!!! It's a charming and quiet location among the 'flood of touristic resto's'. If you have your holidays in Balazuc, you can order your bread, meat, journal, ... for the next day.... We have... More

We stopped here fr a "quick lunch", we ended staying for well over an hour as the location was charming and the food delicious. As a family of 5 we ordered some simple pizzas, a large (unintentionally large) salad nicoisse, mussels and frites plus some wine and it was wonderful. We found the service to be quick and very friendly.... More

At a quiet time in the holiday season we were made to feel very welcome and we liked it so much we went back a couple of times. Plat de Jour very good value

We found Paulette the best place to eat in Balazuc. The entrecote is great, but it differs from day to day (we had 3 of them). Inside is better especially if you have hay fever in spring. Close to Chateau Balazuc where we stayed so I could enjoy the digestifs du maison. Charming, old school French style - unbeatable.

A recommendation by the guide du routard lead us to believe chez Paulette would be a good little place. It certainly was not the case! The food was very mediocre and the service was appalling! The waitress was not very welcoming to say the least and we felt we were being rushed so they could clean and close the place... More

A very welcome, simple meal in a comfortable village atmosphere. We were here in September, when everything calms down in this scenic medieval town (i can imagine that in the High season of July / August it's a lot more hectic). I enjoyed my ravioli with mushrooms (intensely flavored with Cèpes ) and green salad ( 15 Euros). The wine... More
