From the outside this pub looks like a renovated local man's bar. And when you walk in this is exactly what it is. Until you are taken to the restaurant area and wow. The small newly renovated barn like conversion is excellent. We ordered starters and mains and could not fault the food or service from all of the staff.... More

Expectations not met due to table reservation not recognised, over 1 hour wait for starters and shared platters, some items not available and pate served with 2 small slices white bread (not granary) and no butter. Had to request lemon for whitebait and mayonnaise to dip! Disappointing after such a good recommendation from relatives who visited on 08 October. The... More

Good selection of beer & wine. Cosy settings, very clean. Great interior décor. Table of our choice. Small but well executed menu. 3 courses each and was very well priced!! Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Would recommend if in the area. Great country pub!

We walked here with our dogs as it was handy from the Glebe Hotel where we were staying. We had booked and were seated with our dogs. A good simple menu. Sharing platter was good. The waiter was a very busy man , but attentive. We didn't mind waiting for our food to arrive.

I last visited here in july so returned with friends and wish I'd not bothered. My last pizza was stone baked base was thin and crisp and homemade you could tell by the mishaps this time it was a deep pan shop bought base apparent by the dots on the base and the precise shape,l back of toppings was more... We stopped as a break on a long journey and had Googled for a nice pub which looked like it was going to tick the boxes but were very disappointed with our experience. The pub was quiet enough for us not to have to wait too long and we were shown to a table of our choice. The lady was... More

We walked down to the Granville from the Glebe Hotel to eat on two nights. There is a garden area (very dog and children friendly) at the back, and a dining room separate from the main pub as well as tables in the main area which is where we ate. The menu isn't particularly cheap, but the food is imaginative... More

I have eaten at The Granville numerous times but it was closed for refurbishment. The return visit was a disappointment. I had the fish and chips - the fish batter was very hard so the fish inside was rather dry, a disappointment compared to previous visits. My companion had the broccoli and stilton soup - green/yellow water. She had this... More
