Took my wife to this superb restaurant for our 45th wedding anniversary yesterday (June 1). It might be a little on the pricey side, but boy was it worth a bit extra for food to get your tastebuds going. The outside barbecues provided that wonderful...More

Good morning, I visited last night with my husband to have the chateaubriand groupon deal. We arrived on time and were seated immediately so I thought this was good. There was a young couple just seated at the same time too. We waited and waited for the waitress to come and take our drinks order and it took for ages in the end I had to ask them! Not really good to have to wait so long for a drink in this heat. when the drinks came mine was wrong, but I thought whats the point in complaining as it would probably take another 20 mins to get so I drank it. We ordered our starters and main at the same time as the drinks and then the waitress came along and said did we want bread and olives so we said yes please as we were both hungry. The olives came and then 5 to 8 mins later the bread, both really nice and nicely prepared. Then we seemed to wait ages for our starters but when they eventually came they were lovely, I had the beef carpaccio and my husband the crab it really was lovely so compliments to the chef. At no time did anyone come and ask us if we wanted any more drinks (our glasses were empty). I did ask for water and then had to ask again! It eventually came. Our main meal took ages we had been in the restaurant over 1 1/2 hours when we got it. It was very nice and well presented. I then had to ask for more drinks. When they eventually came the barman said I am sorry did I give you the wrong drink last time and I said yes so he took that drink off the bill. That was kind! By the time we had eaten our food we were both so tired we could not eat anymore. The desert menu looked lovely and the young couple by the side of us had deserts and they said there meal was lovely but of course the service was really poor. What a let down for such a beautiful restaurant with wonderful food. You really need to get your staff sorted - yes they all very young but that is not an excuse. It seemed like they just did not have a clue. Thank you. We are moving down that way and thought we would try this restaurant but unless the service improves I think we will not bother. I think you need a good manager/maitre d' to sort this out and you could be just wonderful. I did not want to complain last night because it seemed everyone was not happy with the service. thank you.
