A great little restaurant. Be sure to call for a reservation, there is one man cooking and serving. Personal and elaborated cusine, especially if it's tuber season. Good selection of local wines.

We were 2 couples who enjoyed the Truffle Menu. We had a warm welcome and soon realised that the entire meal would be provided by the proprietor. No other staff. To accompany the menu we were recommended to try an Effervescent white wine produced locally....This was very agreeable and different from the usual White Rose and Red options we would normally choose. The meal comprised of 6 courses including a Mis en Bouche. Each course was beautifully cooked and was well balanced in terms of portion and flavours. A unique experience which we recommend any one to try. Another group arrived an hour or so after us and I think the experience is better when not too busy so perhaps ask when booking if many other tables have been booked for the same sittingMore
One of the best restaurants I've been. The chef is the only one person attending the entire place. He is so nice and friendly. He only allows small groups of people so you need to book in advance. The food was incredible, we were 6...people and tried almost everything. I couldnt believe my eyes, I really recommend it.More
Having seen its good reviews, we thought that it would be a nice idea eating there. But it was not at all. I had a salad and a main course of meat. Everything bland, the same for the side dish. Nothing especial. Fortunately, at least...dessert and wine was quite good. Eventually, the price: 115 euros for a two-people lunch. If you have a look to the bill, you will see that we had to pay for service, bread, an appetizer they serve as it were a gift and finally they add 10% of IVA tax. If it had been an amazing meal, I wouldn't care about the money. But It wasn't obviously the case. So that was the first time we went there and I will be the last.More
Top quality ingredients and outcome of what is served. Great service and very recommendable if you are around. Better to reserve upfront as this is a small place. We were lucky to find place without reservation.
Toni Sabas runs the room and the kitchen on his own. So one must be prepared to wait a little. We booked online from France. Our table was waiting with French menus at our places. Senor Sabas greeted us personally. The menus are short but...mouth-watering. Choice is difficult because it all looks fabulous. My wife had fried duck liver – it was exquisite and I "made do" with the superb liver paté. For main courses, she had the famous piglet dish - cooked for two days to a crumbling melt-in-mouth texture. I had fabulous Turbot. Wonderful puddings and very good coffee. We know the wines of most of the Capmany wine-makers - but were able to try an Arché Pages red - brilliant. The whole experience was perfect - from start to finish. We cannot recommend more highly - but DO book. Sr Sabas only has ten tables…..More
This charming restaurant never fails to delight with the owner/ chef unfailingly delivering amazingly creative food based on local produce. Be prepared to be impressed with his original take on simple ingredients that will simply melt in your mouth. I could not select one particular...dish for mention because anything we have ever eaten here always pleases the palate. The wine selection is equally impressive and while they do offer excellent wines from this exceptional wine region they do not confine themselves to them - there is something for everyone here. The service is personal and very professional and we loved the delightful traditional interior. Very fair prices too for food that is individual and original. Try it, you'll like it.More
We visited this restaurant with our 2 kids and enjoyed high quality food in a very nice atmosphere. Very recommendable at normal prices.
My husband & I were taken by friends to this restaurant yesterday evening & it was absolutely lovely. The food is exceptional with sufficient choice for most palates & given the prices, very good value for money. The owner chef produces all the dishes with...justifiable pride & the accompanying wines are excellent. I had the mi-cuit foie gras to start followed by roast suckling pig & a deliciously light lemon cake as dessert. The rest of the party had a mix of fish & other meat dishes, all of which surpassed expectations in terms of flavour & quality of cooking. The interior of the restaurant is very tastefully arranged in the traditional Catalan style & proivdes a super ambiance in which to enjoy your meal. Although somewhat hidden in the centre of the village, this restaurant is definitely worth the effort to find & once sampled, I'm sure people will be regularly beating a path to it.More
Just a few minutes from Jonqueras you can find a gem of a restaurant that offers a genuine, fresh and inspired experience. The staff is enthusiastic, pleasant and knowledgeable. The food is based on the traditions of the region and presented with a pride and...care that surpasses what I have experienced in much higher profile restaurants in the region (and elsewhere).More
